My Kobra had the typical top-mounted fixed-post filament holder and I was having the typical problem of vibration from the filament rolls not rolling smoothly leading to imperfect prints (ringing and layer offsets). I wasn't able to confirm from the listing that this would fit properly but these things must be somewhat standard because it was literally a 10-second install. I thought I would have to mess with it a little, maybe even make some kind of bracket adapter, but it was a direct drop-in replacement. If you print anything over 2" tall on a "bed slinger" with a top-mounted filament holder, this is a must.

I have been 3D printing for a few years now and one of my complaints is the support for the spool of filiment on my Ender 3 Pro printer. Because the spool must slide on a stationary rod, it jerks and sometimes catches causing the printer to have errors in the print. I chose this product to allow the spool to easily move and eliminate the print errors. There were many products, but I chose this because all I needed was the roller. The product does have a flaw that needs to be taken care of before use. The bearings have heavy grease in them and it sticks quite a bit. Grab some 3 in 1 light oil and place a few drops on the ends of the bearings while rotating the roller and bearing surfaces. After a couple of minutes it will loosen up and move smoothly. Once that is done, I just replaced the old stationary roller with the new one and it was set to go. The kit also has a bracket for those of you who need it. I have used this new roller for about a month and the performance is very good. No stopping and no print errors. I would have given it a perfect score, however, having to work the bearings because of impropper lubrication prevented that.

I noticed some of my spools, especially heftier ones, had difficulty spinning and considered printing some sort of upgrade. All the printed designs were bulkier than the stock holder and some of my spools have pretty narrow holes. I spotted this on /r/3dprintingdeals and decided to try it first. I don't regret it, I love this thing! Does exactly what it says it does, easy to install and is close to the same size as the stock holder so it definitely fits all my spools. I didn't even take off my stock bracket - just took off the old non-rolling holder and installed the spinning roller onto the stock bracket. Perfect fit.

This spool holder is the right idea, but the bearings are too small and too close together to make for smooth rotation. The side load imposed by the weight of a spool of filament causes friction in the bearings, hence the spool is more likely to rotate on the plastic hub, than the hub shaft rotate in the bearings. The bearings either need to be larger diameter or farther apart to make this actually reduce filament tension.
