  • NO MORE MANUAL POST HOLE DIGGING
This product is fantastic. Not only was it extremely affordable, but it was also very easy to put together and use. I purchased this product for less than it would have cost me to rent! I had to have 10 holes dug for a backyard project. For the first hole, the guys wanted to be macho and use my manual post hole digger....... an hour later they were ready to use this baby. BAM - less than 20 minutes later, the other 9 holes had been dug. The hole digging was effortless for them with this machine. The guys were very impressed with this product. Now, I have the equipment for my next project, and in case anyone needs to borrow it for a project of their own. I highly recommend this product! ... show more

  • Works and digs very well, caveat is -> very hard to start
I've only had this for a few days now, but I've dug my first few holes and this digs like a champ. The issue is, it is very hard to start. Make sure you watch the video on how to start it on here and do it on your computer, not your phone. On your phone it's hard to understand. So first thing is, the choke appears to be labeled backward on the device, but they have a sticker that says choke, run that appears to be correct. The video doesn't mention the sticker so you have to watch closely. Just follow the video, it takes a while, but eventually will start. What should be said though is wear think gloves, you have to pull it just right to get the start and 80% will be half pulls where the engine won't turn and stops you hard. It's a small handle and it will hurt your fingers and wrist. Overall, still a 4* when you consider the price and that it works for that price. One other note, don't leave it sitting running, turn it off. It's only happened once, but while sitting there it just started turning even though the throttle was off and the safety button out. It had been sitting for about 2 minutes and the drill started turning, fell over and started rolling around the lawn. Very dangerous situation, I just watched till it rolled into a post and I was able to safely walk over and turn it off. ... show more

  • For the price it can't be beat - quality a little lacking but it does the job
I got this to dig 18 holes for a chain link fence. Unboxing was pretty standard - packaged well and nothing broken or missing. Upon assembly I realized one of the handles did not have holes drilled for the bolts to attach the handle to the motor. No big deal - pulled out the drill and made my own holes. Other than that assembly was pretty standard. First use was a little rough. Getting it to start the first time takes a little longer than the instructions would suggest - but after a few pulls - it started right up and in the 5 times using it since - no more than 3 pulls to start. It has plenty of power to do the job. It was able to cut through some smaller roots by taking it easy on the downward pressure and letting the auger take a bite of the root bit by bit. Only negative - and this is really an issue with 2 stroke engines, is that the exhaust is super smokey and will spit out some oil residue on the side of the machine. Overall for the price - it can't be beat. ... show more

This machine is impossible to start. Useless, and I can't return or get refund, this is a scam. I don't recommend anyone buying this machine if you don't want to go through all the trouble and wasting money. DON'T BUY THIS.

  • Hand digging = 4 Hours - Bilt Hard = 20 minutes
Before buying this, I previously hand dug 2 holes (for 4x4 posts) at my house in very sticky clay (no rocks). Was only able to get 18” deep. One hole took me 4 hours to hand dig. With such an affordable price I figured I would take a chance on this post hole digger when I had 2 more holes to dig for 6x6 posts. To my surprise, this post hole digger ripped through the clay and I had a completed hole (24” deep) in 20 minutes. I’m not sure how long this will last, but if I only get another 10 holes out of it….then I got my money out of it ... show more

  • Worked well
This Auger worked just as it was made to. The only problem was the "fish tail" broke when it hit a big rock but the it still drilled all ten holes we needed.

  • Awesome
So we bought this to dig post holes around our property for the fence. We were going to sell it after we were done but have decided we are keeping it now to dig holes for our plants. This is a great handy piece of equipment. It saved us hours of digging time.
