I’ve gone thru plenty of AC units of all the sorts, including other ac units and this has by far surpassed all. It says it keeps a 700sq ft room cool but my entire downstairs is constantly staying cool in 85+ degree heat outside, and my downstairs is 950-1000sq ft! Highly recommended

I upgraded from 10,000 btu to 14,000 and this is FANTASTIC! Had same Frigidare for years and with hotter Texas summers wanted cooling for more of home. (And yes I have a fairly new HVAC unit but electric bills are sky high here!) This unit goes to 60, not 62 like the last one and blows great cold air. Only caveat is if you like quiet. I like noise to sleep but it is loud. Not offensive noise, just normal fan noise. I love it and am uber happy with it. Highly recommend!!! ... show more

    • Wifi Scheduling is close to Useless - skip this if this is important to you
The ac cools well, and if you don't care about wifi, either buy a cheaper non wifi unit, or if you do, buy something else. This is being used in a business, and so scheduling is very important. The schedules only let you set start/stop times, rather than start times. i.e. if you want it to turn on every day at 9 am, you have to set when it turns off. You can't just have that be the setting like most other scheduled devices can be set. Also, lets say you want multiple schedule points. If you try to set a day schedule at 8 am that ends at 4 pm, it won't let you set another schedule from 4pm to 8 am, unless you start it at 401pm and end it at 759 am. It just won't save. Now, this is somewhat logical, but two things. It doesn't tell you this, so it just doesn't save, which is poor design, If it knows it can't save, it should be able to tell you why. The other issue, is that, does this mean now that the AC completely cycles off at 4 pm, and then cycles back on at 401 pm? Seems like extra complication, where if you could just set set points, like on at 8pm, switch to eco at 4 pm, the ac will never actually turn off, it will change modes while staying on. So again, if wifi connectivity is a motivation for your choice, buy something else with better controls. ... show more
