DO NOT BUY THIS LAWN MOWER

DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE. Hands down, the worst lawnmower I have owned in 60 years. Purchased 6 months ago (Dec 2025), I will likely be replacing it tomorrow (July 2026). This machine is poorly designed and poorly built, I will never purchase another Bilt Hard product in my life. - The engine vibrations cause bolts to unscrew. I have had the knobs holding the handle on fall of this machine 3 times so far, at this point I have to ensure I tighten them all before using the mower. The vibration also loosens the gas cap resulting in a fine spray of gas on the back of the machine. - The oil cap/dipstick is not screwed on. It just sits on the fill tube. While using the machine this came off (likely snagged on something) resulting in oil spaying out of the tube. It took 30 minutes to find the black knob in the grass. - The rear grass catching bag is small, I have to empty the bag frequently. It also sits low so that you are constantly kicking the bag while mowing. Worst of all, it was designed with metal rods on the inside of the bag, these rods catch on the grass forcing you to empty the bag mostly by hand. - The rubber on the handle has already broke off, so you hold bare metal. Not a big issue but annoying on a machine less than a year old. - Today the mower quit working, gas was pouring out of the carburetor. I removed the carburetor, fuel line is good, there were no noticeable issues but now the mower will not start. I am thinking that the vibrations loosed the bolts on the carburetor, breaking the seal and allowing the fuel to escape. Bottom line- this is truly the worst mower I have ever owned or use. Save yourself the headache and buy a more reliable and better built machine. I would never recommend anyone buying a product from this company again.

Great off brand mower.

I was kind of hesitant to buy this mower because of some bad reviews, but the mower I got works great. It has a more powerful motor 144cc than my previous mower 125cc and at a lower price. It was easy to put together and it came with oil. it started right up and cut the tall grass easily. I heard complaints that it was too load, but it didn't seem any louder than my previous mower. Still, I just got it today so I can't say how well it will hold up. the only thing I saw wrong with it is that the height adjustment keeps slipping; It doesn't look like something that difficult to fix but I just used a tie wrap to hold it in place because I don't plan on changing the height once I set it; but technically that is a legitimate issue.

Will not stay running.

**UPDATE** After contacting the seller about our issues with this mower, they issued an 80% refund and we did not have the hassle of sending it back. Great customer service. Thanks. The mower was easy to put together and I love the adjustable height wheels by using one lever. But, the mower will make a pass or so across the yard then shuts off. Sometimes it will restart immediately and sometimes you have to let it set for a while before it will start. So we have a really pretty blue (New) yard ornament. Would not recommend and will only purchase a mower locally and in person from now on.

Runs like a sewing machine!

WOW! Figured I'd take the time to write a real review since bot reviews are so common...first off, the box that it came in is high quality. Complete with brand, logo etc. Good sign already NOT some generic blank box with Chinese on it. Assembly EZ PZ. 13mm and 10mm is all you need. 6 bolts. Mime however was missing the 2 screws for the chute. No biggie I have tones of screws. The Manual is a Chinese to English translation...so expect some, issues. This mower takes 10w30 not 15w40 like in the Manual The engine is nice it's on par with predator. It's just a generic branded 170cc Chinese motor. Basic and simple The height adjustment is brilliant! The cons: It's loud, not an issue for me but some places it MAY be. The engine brake lever is an arm work out, again not an issue for me but it is something that should be noted And the only real con is the chute is angled straight out. So rocks and sand get shot out just be cautious! Will this mower last 10+ years? Who knows but for a cheap get me by mower it's perfect!

Easy

Was easy to put together. Height adjustment was really easy for a 60 year old with arthritis. Mower was very easy to push and started right up. There are plastic knobs on it but it seems durable. Only issue I had was diagram shows on/ off on side like my old one but this one you just pull back lever automatically started. I only need it to trim where my rider can’t get too.

I never thought I would see the day when finding a small efficient GAS mower would be an issue, but alas those days are here. I prefer to buy in person for these types of purchases but everything we found in-store was $350+ battery powered. I happened to come across this little mower and after checking out a few reviews I figured let’s give it a try. So far, we’re extremely pleased. Set up took 5 minutes and was a matter of setting up the handle, checking to make sure everything was secure, adding the clippings gaurd, oil and gas! First time out, the wife(42) gave her 3 primes, 2 pulls away she went with her little mower. Not only was the deck height adjustment easy to switch between, this little mower was fairly light and an easy push! So far, we recommend!
