After reading the good & bad reviews, I decided to give this a try. It's light, which is great for carrying it but will cause it to jump when hitting rocks or dense weeds. You want to have a good grip on it and be prepared for it to lurch. By holding the handles forward, it will force the blades down into the ground. It seems durable and was easy to clean after my first use. I just wiped it down with a soft rag. There is a safety feature that makes it difficult for a child to start it, which is great to have if you have curious little ones around. The jabbed finds down to make it easy to carry & store. Some have recommended putting weights on it to curve it down into the ground. My husband suggested a sandbag. Either way, it duress a great job for a lightweight garden tiller. For the price you pay, this tiller does the job. The real test is when it's time to till the strip of land where I will plant pumpkins in the spring. ... show more

Very light weight. I didn’t expect it to be light weight but compared to my much smaller gas tiller, this is light weight and easy to handle, also easy to assemble, and gets the job done it’s a great tool I use it a lot for my very large yard

Does not quite have the power as a Troybilt ICE machine but certainly enough power for between planting rows cultivation. Very conveniently collapses for storage. Need to be aware of cord location at all times as it's light weight will result in umit bouncing when encountering roots and large stones. ... show more

The utility company dug up my yard for a repair to the neighbor across the street. That sucked. Their restoration effort was pitiful. There is a lot of clay in our soil and the top soil got pushed into the hole first when they filled it and it was left lumpy and uneven. Trying to break it up and smooth it over by hand was back breaking so I decided to rototill it. While renting was an option, it wasn't cheap and I figured it would take more than a day to hit all the areas that needed fixing in the yard. I was amazed how easily this broke up the dirt & clay. There were more difficult spots that caused the tiller to jump around a bit because it is light weight, but backing it out and moving in slower cured that. The ground I hardly made a dent in after an hour was all done in about the same amount of time. I wanted something light enough to easily store, but powerful enough to do the work. This met those criteria and did a better job than I would have managed doing it by hand. I am a bit concerned this only has a 90 day warranty compared to the Sun Joe that cites a 2 year warranty, but so far it hasn't given me a reason to think it will break. And how often will it really be used. It's already paid for itself and saved me lots of literal pain. ... show more

Wow I am amazed at how cheap this great product was. It blew expectations away. Way better than you can imagine especially for the price. Very nice machine, easy to use, and one of the best I ever used. Rented a high dollar tiller then purchased this one and it made the one I rented seem like a cheap POS. We have a garden that is 50'x50' and was left untended for five years. We pulled up the rotten wood framed beds and all the weed fabric and decided to rototill the whole area and start fresh. We started out with a rented two-cycle gas rototiller. It did okay but got bound up frequently with the roots and grass. It had a hard time with rocks and was noisy and smelly as well. It burned through gas as well. For the amount of work we had it was going to be cheaper to buy a tiller than continue to rent one. We gambled on this electric one because we didn't want the maintenance, noise and smell of the engine powered tillers. We hit the JACKPOT! This thing is powerful enough to cut through dense/packed soil bound up by creeping roots. It was tossing out rocks bigger than a baked potato (see the picture) and still cutting soil and going forward. This was the right price, the right quality and the right capability. No regrets. Unless you garden is so big you need a tractor--this is the right rototiller for your garden! ... show more

So this is truly a 5 out 5 star product. I have been using this in hoop house. It lacks nothing when it comes to power. It will grab and keep going but long plants will need pulled out, which is to be expected. Light as a mantis and easy to use. I have over ten hours in this and it will kick out small rocks while destroying clay, slowly if rock hard clay but soil it eats ... show more
