Good tools. There are several online videos about how to use them, you will want to watch several times as its easy to use them wrong. The tool part numbers dont exactly match the instruction manual, but they are close enough you can figure it out. I previously had a much longer very detailed review but it disappeared. Either I accidentally deleted it, or it got deleted because I included an external link to a how to video. Either way, I don't have it in me to write it from scratch again. Good luck! About a year ago I bought a set of these to change out the lifters, rocker arms, and a camshaft on a 2012 Grand Caravan. The set for the front head(left on a Pentastar truck) worked great. The rear, much more difficult to access or see, not so much. If you know you are going to need these do yourself a favor and buy 2 sets. I broke the one for the rear, the reason it isn't in the pics. These are plastic and snap very easily. A better quality set would have more PVC and/or nylon content. Thankfully I had done extensive online research before starting my project/repairs and found a video from a mechanic that works on Pentastar engines, maybe exclusively, and has a video on how to do the job without these tools. Although very stressful, as I knew what could happen if I got the timing chain off a tooth and/or the crank and camshafts out of line, I was able to finish without them. You would do well to familiarize yourself with the many online videos available for this job. As you can tell from the pics I've started marking my tools and such with a paint pen, specifically the numbers on this set, for quick and easy identification. The instructions that came with this set are pretty clear. Something my other set didn't come with. If you are working on a rear wheel drive truck you likely won't have the accessibility issues like on the front wheel drives and therefore won't likely have the breakage issues as you'll be able to see what you are doing. On the front wheel drives, Grand Caravan, Town & Country, etc., removing the hood for access would greatly increase access and visibility for the rear head. Just mark the hood to hinges and bolts for easy replacement and alignment. Quality could be better. Nice set with a case and good instructions. Fair quality. Fair value. ... show more

I set timing on pentastar engine. Love that it is red. Visibility inside engine. But needs to be modified to fit.

    • It kind of works.
Bought this to do a cam job on a dodge 3.6 in a mini van. For the back head (bank 1) this tool worked just fine. For the front head (bank 2) it didn't really work. The little L-shape tensioner release tool worked well. However the plastic tool to push the tensioner back didn't work. It wouldn't push it back to lock it open. This kit also doesn't come with the pin to lock the tensioner open. I used a screw driver to push it back and a paper clip to hold it open. This kit isn't a complete waste of money but this is what I had to do to get the job done. ... show more
