So far it's been a good chain and lock. I think just the sight of it deters would be theives. It's very durable, and good length that I can lock up to almost any bike rack or post. Really heavy but good secuity.

I seldom leave bad reviews but feel it's important here. This is crap. The body of the lock is made either from plastic or from some really cheap pot metal. I can't imagine it surviving one blow with a hammer, and the key action is sticky and unreliable. The chain is heavy, but the welding of the links is extremely crude, which leads me to think that the steel is of low quality here, too, but I can't tell for sure. A clue that I should have paid more attention to: there are other identical products sold under different names on Amazon, also very inexpensive.
