I’ve seen the "E-Scooter boom" bring with it a massive spike in theft. The problem? Most traditional U-locks are too rigid for scooter stems, and cable locks are basically "gift wrap" for thieves with a pair of bolt cutters. The Honszex Handcuff Chain Lock is one of the most practical security solutions I’ve tested for the micro-mobility market. It takes the "handcuff" design—pioneered by high-end security brands—and makes it accessible and portable for the everyday commuter. The Design: Purpose-Built for Scooters The genius of the handcuff mechanism lies in its versatility. One end "cuffs" your scooter stem or frame, while the other secures it to a bike rack or pole. Perfect for locking up an electric scooter. Bought this in 3 different colors and like that the keys match the colors. It is a heavier lock and requires a bigger storage bag (4L). Easy enough for my 7 yr olds to lock them up at school. Love that the locks don’t lock in place without the key so you can’t accidentally lock it.

Love these locks. I bought 2, one for my and one for my husband's scooters and it's perfect. I never leave my scooter unattended for more than 6 hours so, it's tested in Miami for that timeframe. The case fits fits perfectly and there's room for my wallet and keys easily. It's easy to attach and the locks are smooth so no struggles. I love that it looks nice attached to my scooter as I ride too!!! Update: It’s been a couple of weeks since I had this lock and I want to say I still love it. I found a guy at the local dog park trying to Jimmie it open and even though I saw him within 2 minutes, he wasn’t able to Jimmie it quickly enough. I worried about this since it’s like a handcuff but the locking mechanism is very different and unless you have the right key’ it’s not an easy lock to breech. Ordering another one for my bike as a secondary lock since it’s sooo affordable. Finally Amazon has something I can count on.

Bought this for my son for his scooter and its worth every penny. Very heavy duty and doesn't feel cheap. The keys are the only thing that feel cheap but thats not a big deal. Love that you could use it for a bike as well and the chain is very pliable and heavy.

If you live in NYC, DO NOT BUY this lock! My scooter was stolen by two men in under 2 minutes on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. They covered the lock with a jacket so we could not determine if they had a master key or a cutter, but it was no problem for them! Apparently, a ton of other e-bikes and scooters have been taken in the area. This lock attracts thieves.

Far so good. I mean it does its job. I only use the bike lock. I don't use the container as it's a little bit heavier than I want on my scooter and then I would have to take it in with me every time I went inside which would be inconvenient for me. But the actual bike lock is quite good.
