For the price it’s great, however I don’t know about the plastic casing if it could be cracked and might have an easy access to open from the inside of these casings. This is just a thought as I noticed that all U-locks have been made with this plastic casing. Would be very nice to show a bit more details on how secure these Ulocks are by showing how the inside of the plastic casing looks like? I would add that as we consumers buy these locks to protect our bikes from being stolen, I would think that they should be made all metal and not plastic we don’t need plastic casing especially around where it locks. I didn’t write this review to scare anyone from buying them am sure it’s just that a casing for looks but it’s just a observation and that’s all, other then that I love it for the price and hope it doesn’t bite me back lol. ... show more

It’s only been a month or so and I haven’t had to use it as much as I expected but it’s worked well when I had to. The ability to keep it on the bike is great. Had to struggle a bit as I have an electric bike but did find a good spot eventually. Hopefully I never find out about how easy it actually is to cut through it. The media could not be loaded. This lock is pretty big, so if you have a bicycle like mine which doesn't have a perfectly level/parallel to the ground cross bar, or you have a "step-through" style bicycle, you will have to get creative with mounting this The mount consists of two pieces - one for each side of a round pole. On my bicycle, the cross bar is at an angle. Additionally, it is an oval-ish shape so the included mount would not work on it. Also because of the angle of the cross bar, there was not enough clearance for the entire U lock to fit in that space under the cross bar and in front of the seat post. Fortunately, the mount rotates, as does the mount's clip on the U lock itself, which allowed me to install the U lock to the side of the seat tube and under the cross bar. While riding the bike, this doesn't affect my peddling, but it does affect when I need to stop and straddle the bicycle (I'm short, and my seat is high up, so I have to dismount to reach the ground.) The mount itself is sturdy if you crank the screws down, which you really have to do to ensure it doesn't rotate in place. The same with the tiny hex bolt that holds the clip to the lock itself. The thick cable provided is a generous length and allowed for me to tether both of my kids' bicycles to my own bike and loop through my front wheel as well. The cable is stiff so don't expect to try to wrap the cable around the U lock itself and carry it all together; it won't work. I had to carry the cable in my bookbag. It has two velcro wraps to roll the cable up into a large roll. My only real complaint about this lock is that as some other reviews have pointed out, it is NOISY when riding. The U portion of the lock makes a loud and noticeable metallic rattle inside of the base when locked so whenever I hit a bump, it makes noise. I am working on figuring out a way to shim the lock with padding or tape or something else to silence it and will update my review if I figure something out. ... show more

The thickness is a good size even for a smalls it is big enough for whatever size bike you have it will always be a perfect fit. It lock functions are so easily and sets real quick. I belive it will last me a long time. There are 3 keys so I can give two of them to people I trust and I can care one on me at all times. That makes me have peace of mind. ... show more
