First time making pizzas, and needless to say this gets the job done for whatever your looking for. It also definitely could do a margarita pizza(in about 3 mins not 60-90secs but still works) but thats not really a style I like. The controls are super simple, you just preset your temp and then turn the timer to turn it on, preheats in about 15mins or less and delivers the best pizza experience for those with little space and nowhere to get good authentic pizza. I’m a baker so I started testing and making pizza dough and didn’t have the right oven to bake it in because the temperature only went to 450 degrees. This oven has a top and bottom heating core that works extremely well for pizza. 800 degrees with control options. The pizzas come out crispy and taste great. It fits a large 16 inch pizza. The oven is OK — I can make good pizzas with it. That said, a few things stand out: Temperature. The ad claims 850°F, but the dial only goes to 800°F. The difference apparently comes from ambient air adding a Delta T on top of the 800°F , buyers should be aware of this, because the headline number is a bit misleading. Cleaning, a nightmare. The refractory stone comes out easily, but cleaning the inside, especially the back wall, is very difficult. This really needs to be redesigned for better access. Timer and thermometer. Both should be built into the oven. They're genuinely useful, cheap, and easy to integrate, their absence is a real miss. Recipes. The maker should hire a consultant to produce videos and recipes and offer them for free. Give people good ideas and they'll help promote the product for you. A capable oven that delivers good results, held back by avoidable design gaps. ... show more

I have several pizza ovens, they are all much more expensive. This oven is hands down my favorite! It cooks both the bottom and the top perfectly once you get it dialed in. Reheats fairly quickly for a second pizza.

I have a RoccBox, but purchased this because at times I need to make larger homemade pies. As you'd expect, it doesn't compare to the quality of something twice the price, that said, it's a bit impressive. As others mention, you should run this max temperature for like an hour before cooking anything to burn off any oils from the production process. PROS: Can reach up to about 740 degrees and hold it, which is plenty for NY style pizza and heat is about 80% evenly distributed needing only one 180 turn throughout a bake. Separate temps for tip and bottom is very helpful to nail a good balance between browning on top and top. CONS: The slot door is like a narrow mail slot and took some practice to not botch a launch, but totally doable, even with a wooden peel. While it works well for price, its build quality is essentially a very large toaster so don't expect it to be rugged or have any significant insulation. Lastly - and not specific to this model - even though it's electric, there's plenty of smoke and steam that's generated so you still use it outside unless you have a solid ventilation. ... show more
