The only thing missing from the coffee is crema on top. But the taste is great, and can be tailored with the amount of water (don't change the amount of coffee!). The sales page really needs to include accurate base diameter. These were made for induction tops, and the diameter of the base is quite important. There is so much mis-information given in the Q&A and comments. The bases are apparently different sizes for the different pots. And I'm still not sure what all three base sizes are! All I can tell you for sure is that my 4-cup unit has a base that is just under 4" in diameter. Not 4.5" as stated in many places. And certainly not "about 5" that I also see. It is just under 4". And my GE induction top says that 4.5" is the minimum. Yet.... my 4" pot works on it.... barely. Must be perfectly centered. ... show more

This brews truly incredible coffee. I use it exclusively to make lattes and the coffee comes out excellent every time. I always use boiled water in the chamber. I have a Viking induction stove and use the smallest burner on setting 6 to get the initial coffee released and then take if off the burner immediately as the coffee is extracted ... show more

This is product is well-designed for the induction stove for several reasons: 1) the obvious one is that the base needs to be made of iron or steel to work on an induction stove. They have kept the upper part of the pot (that screws onto the base) out of aluminum in keeping with their standard technology. 2) The base which makes contact with the stove is 4.5 inches in diameter. This is important on my stove because the smallest burner on my induction stove requires a minimum 4.5-inch diameter pot. We tried other steel coffee pots that had only a 3 or 3.5-inch base and they did not work. 3) Lastly the bottom of this pot is a smooth, even plane so that the whole bottom of the pot is in the same plane and in contact with the stove top. Other pots we tried had the center area of the pot-bottom indented about 1/8 of an inch which seemed to create a differential effect of the pot's bottom surface interacting with the induction current. The pot works great and produces excellent coffee just like its earlier all-aluminum models. ... show more

We have an induction cooktop and so the regular aluminum Moka's don't work without an induction hob converter, which got too hot and I was afraid it would damage my cook top. This little item has changed my morning routine for the better. Works great on my Frigidaire induction cooktop on smaller burners. Very fast...sturdy, easy to clean. Can't recommend it enough for an induction cooktop. Cheers! ... show more

This pot is absolutely beautiful and works great. I needed a small pot for when I’m the only person having coffee, so I tried this small one and I’m glad I did. Why not five stars? Because for reasons that I don’t know, my induction burner doesn’t recognize it. Tried using heat levels and temperature settings, but to no avail. Now, this may be my burner, but I don’t think so since everything else world great on it. The issue (and I’m guessing here) may be with the size of the pot and the small, light contact it makes with the induction burner. I moved it around, but kept getting error messages. The solution? Spend a little more money and get a diffusion plate to sit between the moka pot and the induction burner. Now it works like a charm and the coffee is great. Still trying to figure out what the problem is, as the moka pot is definitely magnetic. Hope it works better for all of you. ... show more
