  • Works as advertised
Color: Red
Work as they should. Comes with a cloth to clean them and extra screws for repair if needed. Have a nice adjustable band to keep them in place. Works great and the price is even better than some of the other options available. They weigh basically nothing. So far they look nice and you can see very clearly. They’re pretty comfortable mine a still a little tight but I’m sure they’ll loosen up with time like normal glasses. Seem pretty sturdy to me also. ... show more

  • Climbed for years and finally bought a pair...not disappointed
Color: Black
These are a useful purchase, and while the price is practical, the quality is still all there. We've climbed for years without and thought we'd try them out, and we aren't disappointed. They take a second to get used to, but that's all really... they work perfectly and help alleviate some of the neck strain of belaying. They are easy to put on and take off, so I can have them around my neck to decide whether to use them throughout a belay. If there are better quality versions, I don't know if I'd notice or care. I'd recommend these and appreciate having them as an option. ... show more

  • Game-Changing Perspective
Color: Black
These glasses are a game-changer when it comes to belaying, allowing me to maintain a comfortable and relaxed neck position while still keeping a close eye on my climbing partner. The design and construction of these belay glasses are top-notch. The lightweight frame and high-quality prisms provide clear and distortion-free vision, giving me a true perspective of my partner and the climbing route. The adjustable nose pads ensure a customized fit, enhancing comfort during long belay sessions. What I appreciate most about the BG Belay Glasses is the relief they provide to my neck. By eliminating the need to constantly crane my neck upwards, they have significantly reduced strain and discomfort. This means I can focus more on my partner's movements and communicate effectively without any distractions. The convenience factor cannot be overstated. These glasses are compact and easy to carry, fitting snugly into my climbing gear bag. They come with a protective case, ensuring they remain in excellent condition while not in use. ... show more

  • Very helpful but not my favorite pair
Color: Black
Belay glasses are a real neck saver and these in particular seem sound in design. But I will say there is a different version with a tilt function elsewhere online whose adjustability adds a convenience, in my opinion, worth the extra dollars. But if you're on a budget, these will do the trick. In general, belay glasses take some getting used to, and be careful not to try and walk with them on, especially in rocky terrain! ... show more

  • Cheap and great!
Color: Black
First belay glasses so I wanted something on the cheaper side. From what I can tell price does not reflect quality on this one! Very clear glass and solid build. Fits really well on my big dome. Doesn't pinch my nose or ears feels very comfortable. Fairy light nut I'm not sure how it holds up against others. GIves me a clear view without having to crank my neck. Cones with a solid case, strap to hang them around your neck and microfiber cloth to clean. Carabiner that comes on it is super cheap though, I replaced mine with something better so it doesn't fall of my harness. ... show more

  • THIS for people with DETATCHED RETINA !
Color: Black
My brother got a detached retina a few weeks ago. Before that, I had never heard of such a thing, but it comes with age (he's 75) if your eyeball is too much out of round. I have since discovered that this is not as uncommon as you'd think. But here's the thing. In most cases the optometrist removes the retina and replaces it with a new one. BUT, the eye is then flooded with oil and the patient has to KEEP HIS HEAD DOWN AT ALL TIMES FOR AT LEAST A WEEK! to keep the lens floating up so it will attach to the eyeball. Sleeping, eating, walking. All the time. Wondering if there was such a thing as angled mirror/prism glasses I discovered that they made them for people that wanted to read a book in bed lying on their back. Close, but the mirrors in that case face down. Wondering if they made any that could be reversed I went Googling and came up with this. Now, my bro, in his youth, did a lot of rock climbing and thought the idea of using these when belaying someone was a pretty silly idea, and really unnecessary. BUT, when I sent them to him as a gift he was amazed they made such a thing, and (here's the important part) they worked great! So that's the story, and if you run across this review by accident, keep that information and share it with everyone you know. On last thing. He's keeping them after he no longer has to keep his head down because if one eyeball gets a detached retina chances are very high that it will happen to the other eye eventually. If that happens, he'll be ready. ... show more

  • Save your neck
Color: Black
Looks nerdy and cool at the same time, functions well! I use it when belaying long top top and lead routes. It clips nicely onto your harness and helps you protect your neck. It take a little time to get used to the vision, I got slightly seasick but that went away.
