These tools are excellent for use with small CNCs like the 3018 series and I'm using them in a Carvera Air. They are very sharp and do a really nice job on plastics and wood. I have had some trouble finding a good speed/feed for aluminum to keep them from gumming up so I won't advocate their use for this material yet. Overall a very good price to function ratio.

My CNC needed better bits for detail work. These 1/8 inch BFVV carbide bits showed up and I've been happy with them. The carbide feels solid. Heavy for such small bits. That black coating (DLC I think) makes them look expensive. I've cut oak, MDF, and some acrylic sheets. Clean cuts every time. The two flutes pull chips up and out like they should. You get almost an inch of cutting length. That's enough for most of what I carve. They fit my 1/8 chuck perfectly. No wobble or chatter when I run them at speed. The spiral cuts work the same whether I'm in hardwood or something softer. Ten bits in the pack was smart. I broke three bits from my last set by pushing too hard on a walnut project. Expensive mistake. These tungsten steel ones seem tougher. The coating still looks new after maybe fifteen hours of cutting time. Sharp edges, smooth finish on everything. I thought they'd be cheap junk at this price. Wrong about that. For hobby work they're solid performers.

Used these in conjunction with my Dremel tool for a recent project and I was pleased with them. Good quality and the perfect size for what I was trying to do. I gave these CNC bits a whirl last night with my CNC. They are definitely great quality bits. Actually, when you open the case they come in, be careful because they are so sharp you could easily get cut (I have some other bits that aren't that sharp...). This sharpness translated into really good cutting quality. They made a nice clean cut across my test board (a piece of Poplar). I'm sure they will cut other hardwoods equally well, such as Oak or Maple. Also, they are made of carbide and will last through alot of cutting; you also get 10 in the package, so you get great value for the money. They also fit in the collet of my CNC, so the 1/8 size is accurate. Overall, if you're looking for nice quality up-cut bits for your CNC, give these a try.

These BFVV 10 Pcs 1/8 inch Shank CNC Up-Cut Router Bits, 2 Flutes Spiral Solid Carbide End Mill with DLC Coating work great in my sherline mini-mill! Ive used these before and they are always a great cutter every time! At abouf $3/bit these are a pretty good value. Ive used cheaper ones before, but these are a guaranteed win even at a slightly higher cost. The solid carbide cutters are very durable when using them for wood, and even do quite well when cutting Aluminum too. Overall, these work perfectly and i really cant complain about anything! I would definitely order these again!

Basic pack of CNC router bits in an up cut configuration. Use this style when you want to cut into wood (or acrylic) and have the inside of the cut turn out sharp. Downcut bits are the opposite, you use them when you want the surface that you are cutting into to be kept clean around the cut lines. As far as I can tell these are nice and straight. Clean spirals, sharp tips, what appear to be flawless cutting edges. Small bits are hard to assess for sharpness until you push them. I use these in a Dremel setup, but most people will use them in a CNC.
