The best $300 I've spent on my pool in awhile. My pool unfortunately gets all the leaves and spring time oak trees stuff in it from my neighbors trees and it was always a task to keep clean. I was having to empty the skimmer multiple times a day and use the net also multiple times a day. It was very time consuming. Now with this floating skimmer it definitely reduces my time spent on cleaning the skimmer and using the net. I still have to do both but this robotic skimmer definitely decreases the amount of time I spend doing it now. Let's put it this way, this last week I've collected a 33 g size trash can full of leaves and the other tree stuff from my pool. With the robotic skimmer it's definitely a game changer and would recommend to anyone that has issues with collecting debris out of their pool. As far as the solar function, it's awesome. I live in NW Florida so even with non sunny days it still charges. It came right out of the box and ran with no problems. Emptying the collection basket is a breeze too. Very easy to life out and just as easy to clean the basket. Perfect size to easily lift out of the water. It's not bulky and isn't heavy. I've had for about a week now and no complaints. I did have to adjust the deflectors on the front and back of it because it kept hanging up on the entry steps. I definitely think it will last and be durable for many seasons to come. Right now I will probably run 24/7 until all the leaves stop falling and whatever else it usually does about this time every year. The remote is nice also, it adds a little fun to it. Overall would definitely recommend.

The Betta-SE robot is by far the single best pool product I've ever bought. It worked tirelessly all last summer and started back up right away this spring. It does a far better job of keeping my pool clean than my expensive, commercial-grade pool robot that I use to clean the bottom of the pool. The Betta-SE catches most things on the surface of the pool before they sink to the bottom. The Betta-SE is an incredibly simple, well-engineered machine. The paddle wheel in the front scoops up debris into a large basket inside, and the propellers in the back keep it moving and turning to get full coverage of the pool in a very short period. It has a spot inside the basket to put a 3" chlorine puck so you don't need to use a separate float for it. To empty the robot, you simply disengage the latch in the front and pull out the basket using the large handle, making it easy to avoid touching any gross items caught in the basket. The solar cells power the robot running on any given summer day that isn't completely overcast, and the batteries keep it running well into the evening after the sun is down. The Betta-SE has extendable feet on the bottom that keep it from getting stuck on any stairs in the pool. The engineers really thought of everything on this robot! I've only had two minor issues on this robot that are hardly worth mentioning. One of the extendable feet fell off at some point and got lost. No big deal. And on one or two occasions over the course of the entire year, the robot stopped running. I simply had to turn the power switch off and on again, and it powered up right away. In short, if you have a pool, buy the Betta-SE!

Great extra skimmer for an inground pool. The debris basket is large and truly skims well especially the pollen and seeds in the spring at pool opening. This little robot works 24/7. We added the pool foam noodles cut to size to the pool skimmers so Betta wouldn’t get stuck. Smooth sailing from there on out. We also pulled out the adjustment “feet” so it doesn’t get stuck on the shallow pool ledge step. It comes with a remote to bring the Betta to you for emptying. So far after two weeks it has been awesome. We got the white because others said the blue color fades. One reviewer has had a Betta for 18 months and it’s still going strong. This is a very helpful robot. The large basket design is great. Time saved: BUY!

This skimmer is amazing! It's one of the best purchases I've made. My pool gets a lot of debris because our neighbor's trees are up against the wall, and sometimes the branches are over the property. It was getting exhausting having to manually skim almost every day. I was not able to keep up, especially when we get sandstorms. This skimmer can handle getting all the debris. The pool looks so much cleaner than before. I do have a pool suction cleaner, but it was still not enough for all the debris the pool gets. Now that I have both, it is so much better. I usually clean it once a week unless it is windy, and then I clean it the next day once the wind has calmed down. Some debris can get caught in the gear, but a metal pick and hook tool takes it right out. During the winter, the pool was not getting a lot of sun, so I had to turn it off and put it where it was getting more sun so it could charge. It is solar power, so it doesn't require charging from an outlet. Be aware that if your pool doesn't get a lot of sun, you will have to turn it off and let it charge in the sun. If your pool doesn't get a lot of sun, I don't recommend buying because it will be frustrating having to recharge in the sun often. It is not a "smart" skimmer, but it will eventually cover the whole pool. I thought I had made a mistake when I first bought it because it was taking its sweet time skimming the pool. However, it has done an incredible great job at keeping the surface clean. It has also helped to keep my pool filters cleaner longer because the pool suction cleaner doesn't have to handle all the debris. Most of the debris will float for a while before it sinks, so the skimmer can catch it. Sometimes, it can get stuck with the pool vacuum hose, but I let it be, and eventually, when the pool vacuum starts to move, the skimmer can move again.

Would like to rate this a 10. It is fantastic, easy to clean and runs 24/7.. we let our two labs swim and that floating skimmer removes the hair and saves our regular pool filter. Worth every penny. There are several of them in our family, five.
