Additionally, you can add a 2x4 crossbeam on the support legs for added stability

Good value and very sturdy. Took about 1 hour to assemble. Previous reviewers and the product photos note the holes for the 4x6 are not properly located. Seems the mfg took care of this as our brackets have the holes located in the corners. The included lag bolts are galvanized which some reviewers noted is not correct for pressure treated lumber. The chemicals in the pressure treated lumber will cause the bolts to corrode and potentially fail over time. Use of stainless or ceramic coated bolts would correct this problem, but will add cost. If this is a concern, you might price Stainless hardware or consider using non pressure treated lumber. The bolts were about 3/8 diameter by 2 inch long, a 13 mm socket fit the head of the bolt best, so they are likely metric, but this isn’t a rocket ship. The 4x6 fit very snug into the bracket and one side required a bit of encouragement from a mallet. We actually resorted to a 2lb sledge with a scrap piece of wood as a buffer to prevent damage to the bracket and its nice paint. Very happy with this product. Some ceramic coated or stainless lag bolts is really the only improvement needed. Note: fresh pressure treated lumber will be wet and swollen, you might need to shave some material off the ends of the 4x6 to make it fit in the brackets or purchase dry lumber. update: Several months in and it still looks and functions as it should. Plan on burying the legs or use earth anchors if your kids are more than 50lbs and/or like to swing high. It will wobble a bit with larger kids, not dangerously, just potentially concerning for some weak hearted parents, the kids actually enjoy it rocking a bit.

This is a review of "BETOOLL A-Frame 2 Brackets Swing Set Bracket with Mounting Hardware (Green)" These A-frame brackets were the key piece to construct a larger-size swing set for my 8 & 10-year olds who still really like to swing. They came with all the necessary bolts to securely attach the top beam and legs. With everything built and braces added, there's very little side to side movement and everything's very solid. It was quite straightforward to install and we're all very happy with the result. Recommended!

These are good, solid, sturdy units. Why only 4 stars? Because they are slightly over 4” x 6”. And lumber yards carry planed lumber that is actually 3.5” x 5.5”. 🙁 so the fit is very sloppy and need to be shimmed to prevent the lag screws from dimpling the steel. And if the local lumber yard doesn’t stock 4 x 6, and you need to substitute with planed doubled 2” x 6”, you need to shim even more. But, they are sturdy, and solid assembled.

Amazing heavy duty brackets, setup couldn't be simpler. The brackets and wood necessary are heavy, not a job for just one person. I would 100% purchase again, however I shouldn't need to because they appear to be that well made.
