Arrived quickly and were very easy to install. Just find the studs, drill some pilot holes and use the included bolts. I purchased other items for my porch swing install project, and found that the included carabiners were not needed, but will get used somewhere - very high quality. I would think that using a regular ratchet wrench would make this task difficult - but I used an impact wrench and it went quick. I am not sure that I will ever need the full weight rating for the swing I have hanging from these, but its nice to have solid hardware holding things where the swing connects to the ceiling. ... show more

Because they are very sturdy they were more difficult to screw in than I anticipated. But once up, I expect they will be there for generations! I have no doubt that the swing is secure and will hold our entire family if we all get on the swing.

The frame of the swing set will probably fail before these hinges do. The carabiners aren't the greatest though. The hinges may have been tested to 2400 lbs, but I doubt these carabiners could handle anywhere near that weight. They are good enough, but it's odd that they chose these to pair with their substantial hinges. Also, the carabiners don't open far enough. As a result, the coating on the hinges gets scratched as you put them on. Also, you must attached them to the swing first, then the hinge. ... show more
