Overall this rack and tray work great! Easy to install. I made the mistake of thinking the brackets and rack came together. After purchasing the brackets I ordered the tray. A little expensive for both almost $200 for both. But the construction of the brackets and the tray are good. Overall very happy!! Only thing is buy new screws that match so no rust occurs.     • Very practical storage for the beach or for camping
I should get a commission for all the potential customers I have referred. This is great to load beach chairs, coolers. camping gear etc.. I have a similar rack that mounts to the trailer hitch, but it will bottom out in an off- road situation and I am always worried that whomever is behind me will hit it at a traffic light. I have this mounted to the tailgate rack ( see my other review). They also make a rack to mount inside the roll-bar or on top of the roll- bar. I liked this for the versatility. I was missing the 2 elbow pieces that connect the bottom to the top, had to fabricate those pieces to make it work.

Decent heavy duty and thick plastic shelf. Looking forward to testing it out. It is alot of weight to put on the rear door tho. Id make sure to get new gibbs or make sure yours are snug. Or else you will get alot of verticle play in rear door.

    • You can make it work
As others state, fitment is an issue. 2012 Wrangler with Bestop NX Glide. Lower horizontal bars no issue. Upper vertical bars not even close to fitting the bracket. Longshot using a clamp, but the other issue is clearing the knobs when I go full convertible. So I used 10 x 2 Velcro straps on the uppers instead of the knob bolt. Left everything else a little loose and cracked them all down after the Velcro was on. Rock solid. Plus quick to remove if I need to do so. Otherwise it looks great. Only other issue is the bolts that show are now bronze M8 hex bolts, not black as pictured. I think dome plastic caps will fix that. ... show more

Liked the tall height off the rear storage area so my car fridge and other heavy off road recovery equipment could be tied down to the cargo area and this tray is sturdy enough for lighter items like tent, chairs, sleeping bags, etc.

Made a 7 hour round trip at hey speeds and 3 days of hard wheeling in uwharrie. I did install heavy hinges on my gate and it's mounted to sit on my spare. Mostly use it to hold beach chairs and tent for day trips on the sand.
