As others state, fitment is an issue. 2012 Wrangler with Bestop NX Glide. Lower horizontal bars no issue. Upper vertical bars not even close to fitting the bracket. Longshot using a clamp, but the other issue is clearing the knobs when I go full convertible. So I used 10 x 2 Velcro straps on the uppers instead of the knob bolt. Left everything else a little loose and cracked them all down after the Velcro was on. Rock solid. Plus quick to remove if I need to do so. Otherwise it looks great. Only other issue is the bolts that show are now bronze M8 hex bolts, not black as pictured. I think dome plastic caps will fix that. ... show more

Nice heavy polymer construction. Larger than I need but it will easily handle a cooler. The biggest issue with this type of rack is that the maximum weight (75#) is based on the capacity of the tail gate itself. The whole thing is designed to add no more than that. And that is figuring a stock spare wheel and tire as well as the spare tire and 3rd brake light mounts. If you have a larger rim and tire then that will reduce the capacity you can safely use in the rack without damaging the door hinges etc. ... show more

I should get a commission for all the potential customers I have referred. This is great to load beach chairs, coolers. camping gear etc.. I have a similar rack that mounts to the trailer hitch, but it will bottom out in an off- road situation and I am always worried that whomever is behind me will hit it at a traffic light. I have this mounted to the tailgate rack ( see my other review). They also make a rack to mount inside the roll-bar or on top of the roll- bar. I liked this for the versatility. It bounces around a bit, but seems to work. If you use bins to pack in, the lid will be higher than the top of the jeep, so the lid will catch air! A bin's lid flew of on its maiden voyage to Moab, but we fixed that by strapping things down better. Remember to get the bracket, too (sold separately). Also, make sure to go to the hardware store and get stainless bolts to avoid the rust. This will make things better in the long-run. ... show more

The tray is pretty slick, I take rear seat out so this gives me the ability to "stack" cargo and still be able to pull what's on the bottom without starting a landslide.

Overall this rack and tray work great! Easy to install. I made the mistake of thinking the brackets and rack came together. After purchasing the brackets I ordered the tray. A little expensive for both almost $200 for both. But the construction of the brackets and the tray are good. Overall very happy!! Only thing is buy new screws that match so no rust occurs. PS: rack can be higher or right next to wheel.doesnt touch soft top. ... show more

Will fit on a jeep unlimited 4 door regardless of what manufactures states. Have to drill 2 new holes but works out great with or without the top on Warning: The hard plastic tray will distort over time. The tray has bubbled on the base of my rack creating a highly uneven surface.
