Personally do not recommend. Makes ceramic cups dangerously hot to the touch - too afraid to use glass mugs for fear of overheating. Strong smell of burning plastic during use. Light weight product - easy to flip over (which could be dangerous while warm). Cord too short. Auto turn-on once cup is placed is nice, however.
