This is a really nice and functional Murphy bed. The lights in the headboard area look great! The only reason I didn't give this item 5 stars was (a) delivery was a nightmare. I waited a LONG time to get the item delivered. Secondly, the manufacturer advertises that this Murphy bed will work with up to a 12" queen size mattress (which is what we were buying it for). After getting it put together, the mattress fits, but when the bed closes up, the latch won't secure the mattress. We have to manually pull the mattress down every time we put the bed down. If you're going to purchase this Murphy bed, use a mattress smaller than 12" thick or the Murphy bed will not function properly.

It took 4 people 10 hours to build (I am a carpenter) the material are pressed wood so very cheap construction, the screws are too long and go through the front facia. this maybe cost the company $300 in materials and another $100 to ship so why is it so expensive. Now that is built we like it it's easy to use and does the trick. However if you are not handy don't even think of buying this.

The instructions were incomplete and out of order. The hardware package was incomplete. The fasteners did not function as expected. Many parts should have been assembled ahead of others but the instructions were obviously out of order so that disassembly was necessary in order to make everything fit together. Overall, it was a complete pain to put together. If you must have it, pay someone to endure the pain for you.

It is a really nice Murphy bed and extremely comfortable as well. Be ready to spend some time to assemble (it is well explained but it is long). It is in general good quality but the wood is not real wood. We would buy it again.

I had this murphy bed installed in our home office that doubles as a guest bedroom, and it is great! When the bed is hidden it takes up very little room and allows the office to be fully utilized and to look open and airy, and when the bed is down and being used it is very comfortable and provides a great nights rest for my guest. I recommend going with a good quality 10 inch mattress, which fits nicely and provides great support.
