After researching for hours about different hammock stands, we chose to get this one. We are so glad we did! It is super easy to put up and take down--this can even be done by just one person. This was important to us because we were looking for one that we could take places with us, as well as, set up in our home and outside our home. It comes with a carrying case so it is easily portable. The zippers on the carrying case have leather tabs which broke off on the first time we zipped it. However, the zippers still work and can be used, so although disappointing, it is not a big deal. The other great feature of this stand is that it fits so many different types and lengths of hammocks. We have 4 hammocks--2 nylon camping styles, a rope hammock, and the canvas hammock that this stand came with. They are all different lengths ranging from 9' to 12' and they all work great with the various hook placements you can use along the stand. One of the holes on one side of the stand is not drilled wide enough so can't be used, but all the rest work fine. Another amazing thing about this product is that the price includes a hammock! There are so many different kinds of hammocks and fabrics and colors to chose from. We chose a canvas material and it is comfortable and very wide. You can wrap yourself up in the material or have two people in it at a time. We love this hammock! It is our favorite hammock out of the ones we already owned. Both the hammock and the stand are very sturdy. We are super happy with our purchase and hope to enjoy this for years to come! ... show more

This hammock and stand were incredibly easy to assemble, especially with the linked video to confirm I was doing everything correctly. Everything about this feels quality: it's sturdy, spacious, feels good. It's nice to every once in a while buy something off of Amazon that isn't some cheap product with no real company behind it. I've had this hammock since last year. It sits on the patio in partial sun/partial shade. I've been lazy and did not put it away during the fall or winter. It still looks brand new. It was easy to set up and looks very nice. The issue I have with it is the style of hammock. Totally not the mfg fault though. Both my daughter (about 90 pounds) and I (about 200 pounds) have the same issue, so it's not a weight thing. It hangs really low no matter how tight it is pulled and you are sitting in a bucket. It's hard to get out of a bucket, lol. We both agree that maybe the spreader bar type would suit us better, so I'm on the hunt for a replacement hammock with spreader bars. The stand is in great shape still so I have no doubt it will be around a long time. I feel like the price is definitely worth it, even with purchasing a different style hammock. ... show more

The hammock is pretty easy to set up, the directions aren't even really needed, but it's nice that they're provided. The first time may take like 5 minutes, but after maybe half the time. Pretty quick and easy. The hammock itself is pretty small, but in a good way. I live in an apartment and have a small balcony but it fit perfectly in it without taking the entire space up. It spans in length once set up to about 103". The way the site explains their length is a bit confusing and I was expecting it to be longer. So hopefully this helps people thinking of the size. Width-wise (the base legs) it spans in width about like 42" (if I remember correctly). It's nice that you can use the hammock with multiple people or fold it in half and use it that way to avoid the "cocoon" effect. It's much more comfortable that way (folding it in half). The components and materials of the hammock are nice, but I feel like I shouldn't expect them to be quite as durable or long-lasting as some other hammocks I have seen, which makes me feel like it may be slightly over-priced. But it is pretty comfortable so far. One point to note, is that the ends of the hammock (where you hang it) don't seem really fixed in place that well. I just got this, but it's something to keep in mind when setting the hammock on and off the stand (to be aware of it and don't roughly yank it out or on). The whole thing is pretty lightweight which makes it convenient to put in the carrying bag case they give you. The cotton material I got is pretty comfortable. I was going to buy a hammock from IKEA but then I saw this one for about $100 less than IKEA's. It was very easy to put together (no tools required). From the time I opened the box I had it assembled in less than 10 minutes. It's comfortable, it looks good, and the price was right.

Had this for 7 years now! Frame stays outside, hammock stays on hooks by the back door - never let rain touch it and it lasts forever, ours is good as new. We love love LOVE some hammock time! So comfortable, it is our favorite place. Great value here.
