I like that it talks to let you know if the door is opened or closed. It opens and closes electronically inside the house, outside the house or with a key. You can set a timer on when you want the door to close. I haven't set it up yet but I can pair it with my Alexa.

Installed this to replace a standard deadbolt lock on a back door. Was easy to install the hardware portion, however after installing the batteries the lock wouldn't function properly and was stuck in some sort of boot loop. I called their support since it kept repeating a message and wouldn't stay locked/unlocked. They were very helpful and I followed their instructions but could not get the lock to work. I ended up taking the whole thing off, unplugging the main and only wire you plug from the keypad back into the inside part and that seemed to reset it. Worked after that and then took my code, fingerprint etc. Feels like a decent, sturdy lock and in the end worked fine after the reset.

This is a pretty basic keypad deadbolt, on par with the price you can get any other basic one from Home Depot or Lowes. For an off brand item not from a traditional "big box" store, knowing that this is supposed to secure your home and keep it locked up, do I 100% trust it? I... don't know. The thing literally has a USB-C connection on the outside to power the lock in case the battery died. Kinda cool, but also kinda unnecessary. If you're dumb enough to let the battery completely die on this thing before you just change out for 4 new AA batteries, then, well... Either way, you could still unlock it with the... get this... *physical key* (how's that for old fashioned?) Now, do I think some company out there built in a back door to a deadbolt lock that will be installed on people's homes so they can, um... break in and take stuff? I'm going with "proooooobably not" on that one. Regardless, if you're super worried about that part, you could always disconnect the USB-C connection, or at minimum disconnect the data signal line and leave only the 5V and ground lines. Heck, maybe they only have the power and ground lines hooked up already for all I know, I haven't looked. Regardless, the product itself works well, form, fit, and function all seem to be good, everything assembles correctly and it powers right up. Comes with instructions on how to operate it and also the thing talks to you so as long as you know how to get to step 1, it'll walk you through pretty much anything. The external part seems I think to be metal? It doesn't seem like super cheap plastic, but it's also not 1/8" steel or anything. The inside part does seem really cheap and chintzy, very plasticy... but, it works.

I installed this to use for airbnb. I'm doing a lot of travelling this year and the house has been empty. On a recent stop home I installed this lock and prepped for temporary renters. The instructions were worded slightly confusingly but I took another look the next day and had a better go. The fingerprint works my me and the codes can be changed as needed. Perfect for giving an emergency contact or guest limited, and rescindable access. It took me roughly 45 minutes to install on the front door but that's only because it was my first time and I had to call my dad for clarification.
