  • Strong, lightweight, stable
Style: Tripod 34C + VX30 Head
This is easy to use, the twist lock mechanisms work well. Nice ball head, turns smoothly. It is stable and seems sturdy. Nice tall height would recommend for tall people.

  • Well made

  • Incompatible with R5 L bracket
Style: Tripod 34C + VX30 Head
This appears to be a very steady, well made product, with a great Arca-Swiss head. I give this a two-star review for one specific reason only: if you have a Canon R5 and use an L bracket, the L bracket is too wide for the Arca-Swiss head. Regretfully, I had to return this product and replace it with a tripod-head that did fit my R5's L bracket. I'd recommend it for a different camera if using an L bracket, or if you are using a camera without an L bracket. ... show more

  • Defective Product
Style: Tripod 05C + VX20 Head
I bought this tripod for an overseas trip had some problems with it. I also used it for the eclipse and had problems with it. I am now taking a photography class and my instructor informed me that the tripod is defective. The ballhead cannot be put into a fixed, unmovable position (the whole point of a tripod). I had no idea it was defective, otherwise I would have returned it right away. I called Benro and they will hopefully help me resolve the issue. What makes me mad is that this was sold to me via Amazon resale and it's a defective product. The seller had no qualms about selling a defective product for a high price and no disclosure. Shame on him/her. I will only buy photography equipment direct from the company or a photography store from now on. ... show more

  • Survives repeat immersion IN THE OCEAN
Style: Tripod 34C + VX30 Head
I film underwater in 360 - it is close on impossible to find a tripod that is rated for this kind of work. I bought this Benro tripod/ballhead thinking that I would be replacing it every ten dives or so, and even included replacements in my budget. Over the course of the last year plus I have dived it at least 50 times and the thing continues to work perfectly with almost zero maintenance other than washing down with tap water after dives and a couple of squirts of WD40 twice. I am amazed at the durability of this product. The only part that has shown signs of degradation is the sand bag spring hook underneath - everything else works as if it came out of the box. Pretty incredible really! ... show more

  • Great travel tripod
Style: Tripod 05C + VX20 Head
I was hiking in Yellowstone and saw several people carrying this tripod. I had to get one once I handled one. It is light, has various positions and very stable. Good price!

  • Excellent quality
Style: Tripod 05C + VX20 Head
Beautifully machined parts and extremely high quality materials. Won’t hold up in heavy winds but is perfect for 90% of what I need it for.

  • Legs poorly designed
Style: Tripod 05C + VX20 Head
So this tripod is impressive however, the design flaw is utterly stupid for the price. The legs unscrew threads at muiltiple points to extend legs right? Well if you loosen them fully they can just fall right out - then there is this plastic seal piece in there that I guess isn't supposed to happen like this, and won't go back on correctly - meaning I had to just remove the plastic seal. It did function still but I can only imagine that extension connection will over time, degrade or break down or something. An obvious design flaw that I cannot believe exists in an expensive tripod. Did they not loosen all legs and move the tripod at all? Will be selling this and moving to a better design for less cost. ... show more
