DO NOT BUY THIS BED. I’ll just preface this by saying, I have never left a 1-star review in my life, and prefer to leave positive reviews when I have great experiences. For starters, the assembly took 8 hours with 2 people. The instructions were confusing, pieces were mislabeled, and some steps require 3 people holding pieces in a certain way for it to work at all. However, the bed seemed like it was great quality, and it looked beautiful, so I thought the time-intensive labor on the front end was worth it. After just TWO weeks of use (1 adult significantly below the weight limit sleeping on it, no jumping, no activities, just sleeping), the bed collapsed in the middle of the night and completely broke in half. The screws ripped completely out of the wood, leaving gaping holes that can’t even be screwed back into. Since repairing the bed wasn’t an option, I contacted the seller to explain the situation. One week of communication back and forth with the seller makes me feel like I’m talking to a bot rather than a human, and it’s incredibly frustrating. When they asked to return it, I explained that the bed is fully assembled and weighs a ton. To even remove it from the bedroom and get it down the stairs would take a team of strong people, let alone ship it back. Not to mention, the packaging and shipping cost would be ridiculous. Even still, I am more than happy to return it if they would offer a solution as to how I might go about doing that. No solution has been offered, they just ask the same questions over and over, and they have consistently ignored my requests for a refund. I finally went through Amazon directly to file a report and attempt to get my money back for this piece of garbage, to which they have informed me that their hands are tied, and all refunds must go through the seller because they are a third party. I wish I could go back in time to stop myself from buying this bed in the first place, but instead, all I can do is try to warn someone else. It’s not worth it! ... show more

    • Beautiful but not easy to use!

This Murphy bed cabinet looks beautiful. It is a bit clunky to use and is heavy to pull out and put away. One thing to know is the mattress does not wrap up inside of the frame- you have to have a rolling mattress and put it in once the bed is folded up.
