Description

The MSDPL46C SupaDupa monopod features a built-in levelling pan head with +/-20 degrees of adjustment, providing multiple features and added precision to your shots. These feature a water-proof exterior. This model has a maximum height of 157 cm and folds down to 48.2 cm. Combining twist locks with a CNC- machined, fast-action flip lock, it’s simple to fully extend, and then fine- tune the height of your monopod, with our newly added quick flip lock. The included wrist strap provides convenient as well as secure handling. Featuring 360° pan rotation with built-in pan scale below the QR plate, you can accurately and precisely track your subjects. By using the built-in levelling ball in conjunction with the attached bubble level, you can maintain a level shot no matter the terrain. Featuring an arca-swiss compatible arca plate with 3-way screw, for easy mounting and removal. Use it with any of Benro’s Arca- Swiss style compatible products. The oversized ergonomic quick release knob includes a safeguard feature, for extra security of your gear. The sliding adjustable plate with scale gives you the ability to balance your camera, while a safety lock prevents it from slipping too far. This model also features the same rotating foot with internal v-shaped bearing. Also included with this monopod, is an extra-long shoulder strap that can be looped on the monopod for carrying, shooting and stabilizing. To attach the shoulder strap, one end mounts to the rubber feet, the other end attaches to the hook of the main body and you’re ready to move.

Received this today just a few hours ago. After opening and closing the legs maybe a total of three times, this little ring appeared in between the top two sections. No idea where it came loose from but it’s now preventing me from closing it properly. Seems sad that this little rubber ring would fail before I even got it outside… I left a message for the company we’ll see if they can explain or replace, otherwise back it goes for a refund. It’s a shame because it seems like a really nice concept, I like the swivel foot, and the top section with a quick clamp to adjust final height seems like it could be very useful. Just might be not the greatest execution. I will update. UPDATE: one day later, a second ring came loose on the second section down this time. Not only came loose but actually broke. I had left a message for the company and they DID call me back. They let me know that this was from “loosening the legs too far.” It seems that this o-ring is the waterproofing feature that allows this monopod to maintain it’s waterproofing completely submerged underwater. (Something I will not likely ever need.) Of course with these rings broken or loose, that’s no longer the case. I’m going to return it but the question is do I get another one like it because of the features that I do like (top flip lock)… And then worry that I might loosen it too much in the future and this waterproofing ring will come out again. I didn’t loosen it excessively, just a turn or maybe more if I still felt resistance to closing. Definitely feels like a design flaw, I’m on the fence about how I will proceed after returning it, but I will likely look for another brand. ... show more

This monopod is very solid I use it with big Canon glass. The twist locks secure easily and do not slip - no death twist required. The one quick-lock lever also works easily and can be adjusted for tightness with the included tool. The monopod thread at the top is a 3/8" or 1/4" spring-loaded design like most Manfrotto monopods. No tools are required to switch between them. My primary purpose for getting this particular monopod is the compact size closed. It will fit inside a Pelican Air 1535 carry-on case. A well-made storage bag is also included. This is a tall monopod and would work for those even over 6' tall. ... show more

Definitely more comfortable and light than the aluminum one that I've upgraded from. Longer than my need. The top part is flip-lock so is very adjustable if you need minute change. One of the YouTubers commented that the flip-lock slipped when he hangs on it to test. But that's easy to adjust by the two bolts on the lock itself. This is a great Carbon monopod for the money hands down. I Use it for video production in interview situations and the articulated foot pad is very versatile. It does come with a spike if you need it.
