Love this shark cone so much! Not only is the cone itself extremely functional & works like a charm, but it comes in all these super cool patterns & themes! My Pittie has always had the nickname 'shark' 🦈 or 'chompers' lol so naturally when I was on the hunt for a cone to stop him from licking his feet & came across this shark one, I had to have it! All joking aside, this cone was really perfect for our needs. My Pittie has horrible environmental as well as food allergies (we've been thru all the testing & such) & his feet are suffering while we work through trying to help him. We've been managing pretty well with the Cytopoint injection every 7 weeks, while he's going through his Allergy Immunotherapy Injections, but we had a mishap with his dermatologist who gave him an extremely too low dose this last time & we have to wait a full 4 weeks before he can get his next Cytopoint, while this low dose did absolutely nothing for him. So his allergies kicked in full force while he had no medication on board & was licking his feet quite a bit. Then within the same week of purchasing the cone, due to the licking & no allergy meds on board, he got an infection in his rear toe! Long story short, he can't lick his foot at all while we're taking antibiotics, anti-inflammatories & Epsom salt soaks. And this cone has worked wonders for us! It's super easy to inflate, with your own mouth & breath or with an inflator if you have one; just simply pinch the nozzle as you blow. I inflated mine the day after I got it on Oct 15th & it's still holding the same amount of air today Nov 2nd; I have not added anymore air to it. I like how it's adjustable with the velcro strap, to get the perfect size for your dogs neck without any hassle or struggle at all. And it's super easy to put on, just open the velcro strap, slide it over his neck & reattach the velcro strap. No hooks to be found all up the side, like the cheap plastic cones, no ties to then loop through the hooks & tie around there neck, etc. None of that, this is as simple as it gets. And the velcro is very strong, my dog has worn it for around 6 hours a day M-F for 2 weeks & never once got it off or even undone. It seems pretty comfortable for my dog to wear around as well; it pretty much doubles as a pillow for laying down as well. It's definitely more convenient for us, not having that huge plastic cone bumping into your legs, into the walls, knocking things over left & right. With this one, there's almost none of that! Of course they can't squeeze through smaller spaces, but once he's worn it for a bit, he seemed to figure out his spatial awareness pretty quickly. The only thing my dog had trouble with is our tight spiral staircase; he couldn't understand that he had to lift his head higher to clear the stair, so he couldn't go up them without help. I was a little worried he would still be able to get to his feet, since there are quite a few reviews saying exactly that, but my boy is 64lbs American Pitbull & he couldn't even get to his front feet, let alone his back. The only cons to this I would say is that if you have other playful, young dogs who are into toys, they may see this as a toy & try to get it & could pop it. We have a playful GSD & she tried to grab it while on his neck not understanding he wasn't holding a toy. And with this shark one, it does have 3 little fins that hang off the sides & top of the cone, so at first my guy would swing his head side to side quickly to try to grab those little fins. He never succeeded as far as I know, but figured I'd let you all know that in case that would be a problem for your dogs. Overall this has been phenomenal for us & I would highly recommend it.

I have an older black lab who is spoiled rotten. She is well behaved and has pretty much gotten to the point where we just let her do her thing because we can trust she isn't going to cause any troubles. Now that she is older though and so spoiled she doesn't take to change very well which became a problem recently when she somehow got a large corneal ulcer on her left eye(we think a stick poked her but that's not the point). Anyway, right after she injured it I started putting a traditional plastic cone on her. The poor spoiled thing looked at me like I was torturing her. She would just stand there holding her head down like the cone was a millstone hung around her neck, but I said "I'm sorry this is for your own good". Well I guess she decided to show me because then she started slowly walking swaying her head and slinging the cone around bumping into everything she could. Then I found her stuck in a doorway because the lip of the cone was stuck on the door frame and she was looking down the hall, so she couldn't figure out why she couldn't walk forward. I helped her through, but she kept bumping into things(I promise she was doing it on purpose the way she bumped into several things) and sometimes she would hit things so hard it would make her fall. Well she is a little fragile, so after fighting with the cone for a few hours it became clear that she was going to break something(in the house or worse one of her bones), so I took the cone off thinking it would be better to chance the eye than possibly an injury that could cost her life. After a few days though the eye started looking worse, and I started researching other options and found this. First off let me say, my spoiled lab still acts like she has a millstone hooked to her neck when wearing this but it is much safer for her. Also when walking in a wide open space she will still purposefully get as close to obstacles but instead of a cone that catches things, this one just bushes against it. It has 100% kept her from rubbing her eye on furniture or using her paws. Depending on how she lays sometimes it looks comfortable, but sometimes not so much, however regardless it seems more comfortable than the plastic cone. It is easy to inflate if you know what you are doing. For my dog(and I certainly wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless they can related) because she is so well behaved and pretty much just accepts things regardless of if she likes it or not, I am able to just slip the donut on and off without running it through the collar. This allows me to quickly and easily take it on and off when I am with her and can watch her, and I also don't have to worry about her pulling it off and I haven't seen any difference whatsoever in her wearing it whether it was through the collar or not, but it was a hassle to take on and off when I was using the collar through it. She has started to get used to it but she is still spoiled. For example when I take it off she will have both of her eyes wide open, but when I slip this on her she will look at me with the left eye squinting. She is notorious for wanting pity parties(which means getting snacks), and I know that's what the squinting eye is all about. Don't believe me? one time she was staring at me while I was eating a carrot(her favorite snack), and I said "none for you", and while she is still staring at me and been perfectly fine all day, she slowly drew her paw up as if it was hurting her. Anyway, while much better than a traditional plastic cone, some dogs still may not behave quite normally with this.

I purchased this inflatable dog cone for my neighbor's miniature Schnauzer after he had surgery on his back foot, and it worked amazingly well. It was a much more comfortable alternative to the hard plastic cone that most dogs end up wearing. The dog seemed much happier wearing this collar, and it still prevented him from reaching the surgical site. He was able to eat, drink, sleep, and move around much more comfortably than he would have with a traditional cone. The collar was easy to inflate, stayed securely in place, and held up well throughout his recovery. If you're looking for a more comfortable recovery option for your pet after surgery, I highly recommend this product. It made a big difference during the healing process.

My lab had a bad allergy flare up with major skin issues. Purchased this collar to prevent him from licking paws and rubbing his face and chin on carpets and furniture. The collar was easy enough to inflate and fit well. He wore this collar for several days & nights. He slipped out of it a couple of times, but I think this was a much better solution for him than the traditional cone. For reference, my dog weighs about 90 pounds and I ordered XXL. I would recommend this collar to any pet parent looking for alternative to cone.

We purchased this in anticipation of our Blue Heeler needing it after being spayed. We did not want her (or us) having to deal with the cone of shame. Her neck measured 13.5 inches, and we went with the large size since the cutoff between medium and large is 14 inches, and we are sure we will need it in the future. It is a bit big on her, but she has only gotten it off twice in the week she has been wearing it, so we got lucky. It did take some effort to blow it up, but we got it done. I had pushed down the air valve and realized it needed more air. The air valve was a little difficult to get back out. The velcro is very strong and has not come undone at all. The material is soft, and does not irritate her. Overall, this is a great item. She cannot lick where she had her surgery, and when she runs into us with the edge of it, it does not hurt.

My dog is not happy but I am. This is so much better than the cones. It's soft he is not bumping into anything. Every year he goes thru the unstoppable itches and biting of his tailbone. This keeps him from being able to bite and lick it after I put his cream on. It's perfect easy to put on and off. I think it is more comfortable for him, as it didn't take long for him to just lay down and accept it. Seems to be pretty durable and washable. Thanks from Buddy and me.

Purchased this to use instead of the cone of shame after my pup Rollo got neutered couple weeks ago. It’s a Medium. He is a mini multigenerational Australian Labradoodle that weighs about 15lbs. He wears a collar that’s 10”-15” I think. His actual neck measurement is about 11”. The collar fit him well. I had to push it to get his neck to pop into it but it was not too tight at all. Actually perfect. I did not run his collar thru the loops but they’re on there if you choose. He could not get it off once the Velcro strap was connect around the outside. So THIS COLLAR DID NOT STOP him from LICKING himself. He’s got a pretty long body and is very flexible. However, I did not want to by a cone and use it. It did act as a deterrent though. Although he could still reach to lick the incisions, he did not do it nearly as frequently as when he had nothing on. Vet’s office said usually a couple gentle corrections is enough to deter a dog from licking or bothering the incisions (barring any unforeseen irritations from infections or such I presume). This Was Not the case for my Rollo. With it on his neck though, he only required a few NO’s each day. Without wearing it he was constantly trying to get at the two incisions. I did look into getting a larger size but the diameter of the inflatable donut part is the same no matter the size. So we just stuck it out with this one. Also good to know that I blew it up just one time, the first time. I did not have to add more at any point because of leaks etc. If your dog is flexible and has a long body, this likely will not be a 100% effective cone alternative. He was very comfortable, took lots of naps and wore it 24/7 for 8 days. He was still able to play with his toys, sleep, eat & drink while wearing it. I pushed his collar down below the donut and kept donut up higher on his neck. This also made it possible to connect his leash for going potty outside. It has a soft cover over on it so it’s not just plastic directly touching him and I guess it offers some protection from chewing. I did not rate the Chew Proof. He never chewed on it or tried to. He initially tried to push it off with his back paws but it lasted maybe 2 mins max. He did scratch at the area below where it was placed on his neck but nothing excessive. This did not puncture/hurt it at all.

This inflatable dog cone is a LIFE SAVER!!! My boy has sarcoma on his lower abdomen and would constantly lick and scratch , or he would scratch his ears. But with this, it works Great! He can’t reach his ears with his paws and he can’t bend down to lick! The cone is super soft, and doesn’t bother him at all. It fits perfectly around his big head/neck, and has Velcro that is adjustable for different sized dogs. I haven’t cleaned it yet, but it looks easy to clean. He just a silly boy with this on. He sleeps comfortably as well. The way he acts you wouldn’t even think he had it on unless you saw it. Thats how comfortable he is. Goes right to sleep with it on, shoring and all. 💯💯💯💯 recommended!
