The media could not be loaded. This is my fifth seat in different colors to match the seasons. March is green, April is blue as you see in photo, June is pink, september/ October is brown and december/Jan is red. I want one more in black. The cost is very good for the quality . It is a slow moving seat and lid until closed. They are a soft shiny hard plastic and made very sturdy. They are very very easy to install. I just leave the same screws on the toilet and snap the seat over screws then close shut. The colors match so nice with the color coordinated sets I use. The shower curtail, toilet tank set and rugs all match. April is not done yet. My friends think I'm crazy but I enjoy changing the bathroom around in colors. The seats are a necessary part of the match. If you look on Amazon you may find that the box is crushed but the seat is untouched. I paid 20$ for the brown Bemis 1200 slow close. Bemis Classic Colors Slow-close seat; My bathroom is vintage 1971 but the original Sears toilet seat had faded, most likely from my using those all-purpose, sanitizing bathroom cleaners that contain bleach. A white seat was not acceptable and I didn't mind paying extra for a color (Dresden Blue). Also, it is nice having a self-closing model vs the original Sears one. The Bemis cleaning instructions say to only use mild soap and water for cleaning, which I will do. I've had a Bemis white seat for years in a half-bath and I know it is a quality brand. The installation was so quick and easy I felt like I had missed something! The plastic bolts snap off when the proper pressure is reached. ... show more

    • Finally my search for seafoam green is over!

When I bought my home, it came decked out with what was the height of fashion for 1950s appliances, including seafoam green tub and toilet. Amazingly, everything was still in incredible condition, with the exception of the toilet seat. I soon found out why: because it was IMPOSSIBLE to find a replacement in that color. Thank goodness for retro style making a comeback! And allow me to verify that this 'ming green' seat is the very seafoam green color of the original 1950s fixtures; it is a perfect match. I can also verify that it perfectly fits the old standard size toilets. I love their install, it's super easy and I can tell already that it will actually stay in place—no more constant retightening to fix a lose seat, after install it has stayed right where it needs to be. It has been a challenge to find a toilet topper to fit, though. Because of the nice design where the hinges in back allow the seat to softly open and close, the standard toilet toppers do not fit over it. But make no mistake, I am happy to forsake a topper for this quality seat that perfectly matches the color. ... show more

Kohler K-3402PB Rasberry Puree1980's toilet. This seat fit perfect. Slow close feature works great. Color match is perfect to the toilet, literally better than the 30yr old original that broke! Easy to install with 5/8 wrench although I never have seen break away nuts like the ones included. They work fine and I guess it helps with not overtightening and breaking the plastic bolts. The bolts included have a unique head that locks into the mount which probably can only be replaced via manufacturer. At half the price of an original, can't beat it! ... show more

    • If you have a colored toilet, Bemis is probably your best seat option

This is my second one in so many years. If you have a vintage colored toilet, say pink or harvest gold, you will not find many colored seats on the market that match. Unfortunately, I feel like this brand is my only option. The soft close dampers are proprietary and cannot be purchased or replaced. If and when the soft close no longer functions, the lid slams down loudly. You will not be able to fix the Bemis soft close function yourself by buying new dampers here as you would be able to with many other brands of seats. The only option is to buy a new seat. I would be a lot happier with the brand if the dampers were replaceable. This is the case with many other major brands, just not this one. ... show more
