What a satisfying and successful purchase! I'm recovering from injuries in my knees. The toilet in the home I rent is way too low for my knees. This toilet is anchored in the wall, not the floor, so my options for risers is limited. I did have to hire a handyman to installed this riser which was an added expense. I could not do it myself and this proved to be the right thing for me to do. The comfort and safety that I'm experiencing now, makes it worth the investment. I'm so pleased and relieved that I 'had' to write this review! Yes, this riser is just that good! Its sturdy, holds my weight without wiggling, provides a high degree of comfort when sitting, and is very well made, better than what was described online. Yes, it's pricey compared to other models I shopped. But 3inches is the right formulas. One thing I wish was different is the lid needs to be held while closing or it will slam shut, which is better than one that crashes shut. But I do wish it slowly closed on its own.
