I ordered this because my right hip is bone on bone, and I’m facing surgery. I wish I had ordered this raised toilet seat before recently because it has made it 100% easier to get up and down. Along with the height, side handles, it’s actually bolted onto the toilet itself. So it is very secure as far as plopping down and getting up from. I can’t rave enough on how awesome the seat is.     • Doesn't fit Kohler Skirted toilets

This is the second time I've purchased this. I did it again because the seat is so much better than a standard raised seat. With this, I didn't have to install regular grab bars in the toilet room and it is very sturdy. I only gave it 4 stars because it doesn't easily fit the a Kohler skirted toilet. The bolts aren't spaced quite right and you can't use the provided nuts to tighten it to the toilet. I had to use regular hex nuts and washers to fasten it. If you have a Kohler skirted toilet and you're not handy, don't buy this. ... show more

Bought this for my MIL for after her back surgery. Even the Occupational and Physical therapists both approved. It worked perfectly. It does make a small noise as if it's loose but it is not. It is very safe and sturdy. It is not going to break. Be sure to order the correct type for your toilet.
