We bought one of these as the date approached for our Shih Tzu puppy to be spayed. The “cone” alternative just didn’t seem to be something she’d do well with. The surgery was done two days ago and we brought this recovery suit with us to the vet. They put it on her after surgery and she’s been wearing it since. It does a great job of keeping her away from the surgery site and she’s very comfortable in it. It’s easy to configure when we go out for potty breaks, too! We ordered the Small size for her. She’s 10 lbs and we might have been able to go a size smaller but this size is working well too. It’s not tight on her at all. This is working so well that we ordered a second one as a backup! Very pleased with this!!!

Perfect for my Standard Poodle after her spay. I ordered the XL because of her length. It’s a bit large through the shoulders but with the tight fit around the neck, I don’t have to worry about her slipping out of it. She is very comfortable & safe. I love the snap enclosure! So many had Velcro. Seriously? Dog hair & Velcro…Nope! She likes that she has clothes like her Pit Bull siblings. LOL. If they ever need it, it will fit them too. SCORE! One happy family!

Alfie is a FB2 cavapoo & is 8 lbs. He was just neutered & I noticed he was trying to lick there. I bought this in hopes that it would be easy to put on him as well as protect his goodies or lack of thereof. LOL it fits him perfect, is soft, stretchy and putting it on was really simple. He isn't a fan of putting clothes on, or being still enough to put clothes on. You put their head through the neck first and then the front legs, which are large enough to where he doesn't even know that he's putting on a shirt. Then the snap part comes up through the legs, the snaps aren't hard to "snqp" so you're not sitting there long at all causing them to get anxious. Alfie is still a puppy so he hates sitting still for long. It has a big hole for the tail so it doesn't press on it at all. Theres multiple snap spots so you can fit it accordingly. He has been wearing it all day and hasn't tried to get out of it. It is not super tight but it is protective enough where he can't get to his incision. Being that is near his hiney it is a big plus. Other recovery suits that I've tried do not cover the area that I need protected. The decal on the back is a plus. So adorable. He still looks cute without looking like he's in a straight jacket LOL his measurements are: neck 7 in, back 11 in, and girth 10 in, 8 lbs. I got the size small. This fit him perfectly. I haven't taken him out yet but the instructions on how to snap it up out of the way looks easy enough. I don't have to take it all off just to put it back on again. If anyone is looking for a recovery suit I highly recommend this one.

I loved this for my dog after she had her surgery! It fit her perfect and she surprisingly didn’t mind it at all and she never touched or licked her wound or stitches. However, it shrunk whenever I dried it. It got tighter and tighter until it just looked uncomfortable. I would still buy it again but would probably buy two and hang dry them while alternating them.

Who doesn’t want to get rid of the cone of shame? Using this post surgery vest is a game changer. It is keeping my dog from being able to lick her incision, fits nicely, it is a light but sturdy material so it’s not too annoying for a dog who has never worn any kind of coat. It goes on easily which is important when dealing with a drowsy, medicated dog. And of course no bumping into furniture or being hampered from eating or drinking. In interest of full disclosure I am using the vest with an inflatable donut collar at night when she is in her crate, just me be extra careful!

I absolutely love this surgery suit. I have a big dog and the xxl worked perfectly for her. The material is thin and breathable which is nice and durable. The price is great for the quality you get. Shes able to easily move around, which is so much better than wearing the cone. It snaps on with buttons and can be easily adjusted when needed to take her outside for the bathroom. If you're looking for a surgery suit, I recommend this one!

My border collie was crashing into everything including me with the "cone of shame" . My vet suggested a onsie. I liked the material for this one but since my dog is right on the border of a large vs Xlarge I bought the Large. Oops. This is just a bit too tight and the tail hole is making her crazier than she already is. I considered returning it to get the xlarge but she can twist enough to get the front leg holes in chewing range & I fear a larger size would make that even easier. Its only for a week so hopefully she gets used to the tail thing & doesn't chew off an arm hole. The material is soft & stretchy and it doesn't have the "cut here" for male dogs on the belly so there is nothing to rub. It was way easier to put on that the compression socks I had to wear after surgery, lol!!!Good product , well made, but if your dog is on the border between sizes- buy up.🐕 After 3 days wear both arm holes have torn apart. It does keep her from chewing her incision but the armholes are now huge and I will not be able to use this again in the future if needed. For the cost I had hoped it would have been sewn a bit stronger but it still is sooooo much better than the cone of shame. Day 5: My dog has so far chewed both front leg opening apart and today she chewed one side of the part that goes around her tail apart. I should have got one made of kevlar. Unfortunately she also has figured out how to get the cone of shame off her head even though it's still attached to her collar.

My XL doggie had surgery and needed this suit . Fits well. Easy to snap in front allow for potty breaks. She’s comfortable in it and isn’t trying to lick. The fabric is smooth and doesn’t attract dirt / fur. She rolled outside in leaves and I was able to easily shake off debris . Which is good because we only got one outfit.
