Building this took approximately 4 hours with someone else helping be advised the directions are pretty hard to understand because the attempt at printing a 3-D model for people to follow fell short there is one leg to the bed that I ended up having to drill a hole through so as to not take apart the entire bed and have to start over because the directions were not clear it would have helped if each one of the pieces had a “This side up” sign or at the very least some form of indented arrow because it was very difficult to figure out which side went where I highly suggest you get a drill so you’re not taking so long putting this together using the Allen wrench that is provided. Durability: It feels 30 for a kid however it feels very unstable when I attempted to climb up into the bed I am 150 pounds and the max weight for this is 250 pounds I would have liked for the four side rails to be solid all the way through I feel that that would have made a huge difference in the suitability aspect as it does seem like it rocks back-and-forth a substantial amount even though it is heavily weighted down. Comfort and mattress: I purchased a 6 inch mattress from Amazon that came rolled up I do not suggest you go above 6 inches so that you provide enough guard rail space at the top especially for a child that is new to a loft bed my son is turning seven years old so this was the perfect height for him and granted him a lot more playing space in the center of his room . Packaging: these boxes are HEAVY either someone who works at religiously is going to have to carry them in for you or you might be able to track your package and see if they will help you at least bring it inside. To sum it up. My son loves it. It’s beautiful. And I’m sure I can figure out some way to make it rock a little less. It’s perfect for smaller rooms and for “ big boys”

Overall, the design is great and achieves exactly what we wanted. My son’s room is small and this really opened it up and he loves it. It’s attractive for its design and getting into bed is easy and comfortable for him since he doesn’t have to climb a ladder. It feels pretty solid except the steps which are still ok. Setup: Instructions were decent. Every piece was labeled with a number which made it very easy to identify the pieces needed. Plan at least 4 hours for setup. It took two of us about 5 hours but that includes disassembling his previous bed and moving things around the room so we had room for assembly of this bed. Concerns: the package came really beat up. There were a lot more scratches and dents from the two pictures I included but many of them are covered up by either the mattress or against the wall so not visible. The biggest dent is one of the main front posts right next to the steps. It’s pretty obvious and no way to hide it. Even if the package was in good shape, there didn’t seem to be a lot of packaging to protect the pieces so it seems reasonable there would still be high chance of damage. The steps can hold me (180 lbs) but I’m careful not to bounce because that feels like the weakest part. The main bed probably holds the 250lbs like they claim just fine but I’d be gentle going up and down the stairs. The item took 9 days to arrive. It’s heavy and I don’t know that the manufacturer can really be blamed but don’t expect two day shipping. I’m glad I bought it, I just wish it wasn’t so banged up. Returning it isn’t an option because we needed the bed after taking apart the other one and it’s very heavy so not practical to ship the pieces back. A lot of the pieces are tied together with the rest of the bed (which is necessary for sturdiness) so it would be challenging to switch out select pieces without several sets of hands.

This loft bed is actually really nice, I had one tab break off but a quick 5 minute visit to my garage I was able to weld it back on, I doubt anyone will have this issue tho because overall the bed is built quite well. Fit & finish is perfect, quality is great, very sturdy and looks awesome. I can be quite a critic on quality and I was pleased with this bed.

I cannot rate the bed, but when my order was delivered, the boxes the beds came in were opened, retaped, and the beds were falling from its cartons. (2 orderers) I was not happy.

We bought a 6 inch mattress from Amazon and a 2 inch topper from Walmart. The topper was necessary since you could still feel the bars through the 6 inch
