It looks like an espresso machine but it just brews a short coffee instead… I’ve tried different espresso grinds and packs but this just doesn’t work like an espresso machine. Also a lot of plastic that probably shouldn’t be getting hot. For the price just save up another $150 dollars to get something that’s better quality. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Obviously it’s a very aesthetically pleasing appliance. Smaller than my Keurig. I got this because I wanted a small machine for white coffee shots. An attempt to skip the coffee stand and save some money. I have zero coffee making background so I appreciate this was easy to use and the instructions made sense. That being said, the whole exterior of the machine is plastic therefore light and moves when you lock or unlock the portafilter. I could not move past this flaw. This is a great espresso machine although there was a problem with the steamer release for the milk froth so I ended up returning. But made excellent espresso shots! Decided to look into a different machine and spend a little more on better quality. If you don’t mind the milk frother and are on a budget, this machine will do just fine. ... show more

I really love this espresso maker but it's not for everyone. It's lightweight but I don't find that to be too problematic, it's just good to know that how you handle the machine will need slight adjustment because of the weight. If you are a coffee nerd or a coffee snob who wants a super strong, kick-you-in-the-pants kind of espresso; you should pass on this machine. If you want an espresso machine that is super intuitive for a rental property, this would be a great option. I trialed this one with another espresso maker. I preferred this coffee maker to the other one and my friend preferred the other one, she likes a super strong cup while I prefer more of a cappuccino style. This espresso maker was much easier to use than the other one, emptying out the grounds was easier, and adding the water and starting it up was easier. This was essentially as close to press-and-go as a real espresso maker could be. I don't want a giant espresso maker, this one looks cute and fits in a very small space and I love that. I'm not sure I would use it underneath a cabinet as quite a bit of steam comes out of it (not in a burning-you kind of way, and the other machine did as well, any kind of humidity aimed at your cabinets is likely not good for them). Overall I love it and I think if you're just an average Joe who wants a cup of fancier coffee, this is for you. If you want the same results as a $1,000 machine then you're not shopping at the right price point. Also, I like the milk frother.
