This blanket is really soft and warm. I originally bought it for a light summer blanket. I put it underneath my comforter and over my sheet on my bed. It works great. It is now January and cold outside it keeps me warm. The instructions said to wash it in cold water. After I washed the blanket there was a lot of lint inside the washing machine. This blanket is as expected. As a 100% cotton blanket, watch out the first time you wash it. It will shrink some, and make sure that you clear the lint trap in your washer and dryer. The amount of lint that came out of this was a whole lot, enough to damage your dryer especially. I have only washed once, when it arrived. Will be watching the subsequent washes for excess lint. Nice, heavy blanket. After 2 washes (washer and dryer) there are no snags no pilling, and little to no shrinking. The color is exactly as shown and I purchased Sage Green. I bought another one a while ago in teal and I would give it the same review. It had held up well.

I bought this blanket, and have been somewhat disappointed. I bought the queen size, so that it would be long on the sides of my full size bed and long enough to be high on the top so my neck and shoulders would be well covered. I checked it for size before washing it, and it fit as I wanted. I washed it following the directions that came with it. There was a lot of lint/fuzz that came off the blanket in the washer. So much so that it filled my lint filter. When I dried it, again a heck of a lot of lint came off. I had to clean the filter three times before it dried. The lint from dryer was the size of a baseball, and that was after I squeezed it to compact it. While it is a good weight, it shrank and is no longer 90 x 90 inches. ... show more

I'm not one to exaggerate so when I say that this blanket is so soft and cozy, I mean it. I got a Queen size because I prefer to be able to burrito myself. The knitting is thick enough to let cool air in but not so much that you will get cold. Just enough to keep you from overheating. My only complaint was that I needed to wash it when I first got it because it had an odor and was very stiff. But a quick wash made it perfect!
