It's a Game Drive that can work on Xbox, PC and PlayStation. I'm currently using for my PS5 that's shown in the picture. The drive itself is very light weight. I would make sure you give it plenty of space by your game console. The cord it comes with is a Micro USB 3.0 and it is a good wire but it is short. Transfer speed is great and it is fast. Downloading the games from the Internet took me the whole day just to put on the drive but I was ok with that because I did have a big list of games that I wanted to put on this drive. Do note that this only works for only Xbox One / PS4 games only, don't expect PS5 or Series X games to go on here. It does feel very reliable, it does heat a bit when downloading or running games but it's not to the level of Overheating. It is very easy to use and the connection is very fast. You are using USB 3.0 with the next gen feature on it to make it run fast. I have not experience any data losses on it so it seems very promising. Overall I would recommend picking this one up and it is very promising. It does come with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for one month so that is a nice bonus. Always make sure to register your product to Seagate to get that warranty if something does go wrong. Anyways that's it, it's a decent Game drive. ... show more

Love it, great price for a large amount of storage. You can't use it for X/S games but otherwise it is great. Super easy to set up, its quiet, works very fast, and is great with my xbox.

I have an Xbox one s with only 500GB of storage. That is not very much, so I could only have 2 games on my Xbox. I hated only being able to play a couple games. I purchased 3 them from the Amazon refurbished store . One arrived completely sealed and the other two were opened one was complete in box and the third one was missing some stuff and you could tell it was used be I did also know what I was buying and that drive hasn’t given me any issues. If you have done your research you know you can’t play the newer games from the drive it’s sole purpose is to use it as storage drive so if you’re ok with that then this is a perfect solution to a storage issue ... show more

As someone who’s constantly cycling through Game Pass titles and older favorites, this Seagate 2TB Game Drive has been a lifesaver for my Xbox library. What I Like: Simple plug-and-play setup. Literally plugged it into the USB port on my Xbox, and it was ready to go in under a minute. Super straightforward, no hassle. Big storage in a compact design. I was able to move around 40–50 full-size Xbox One and Xbox 360 games onto it with room to spare. Good speed. It’s not an SSD, but for an HDD it’s solid—downloads, installs, and load times are consistent for older games. Officially compatible with Xbox, so there’s no guessing whether it will work. It’s built for this. What to Know: This drive does not play Xbox Series X|S games directly from it. You can store them on it, but to play them, you’ll need to move the game back onto the console’s internal SSD. Occasionally, the Xbox might not recognize it on boot-up. Unplugging and plugging it back in fixes it every time, but it’s something to keep in mind. It’s a hard drive, not a solid-state drive, so don’t expect lightning-fast speeds—but it’s perfect for bulk storage. Final Thoughts: If you’re still playing a lot of Xbox One, 360, or original Xbox titles—or just need extra space for Series X|S games you aren’t playing right now—this drive is a great choice. Used, but had some problems with the cable that came with the product. I believe it broke but I had a spare cable the I have used for 15 years and the product worked flawlessly no issues.

I love this external hard drive. It holds so many more games than my smaller one. i can have this one plugged in along with my smaller one and they can both be used together for the most space.

I bought the Seagate 5TB Game Drive for Xbox (STKX5000403) specifically because my Xbox Series S internal storage was full. For around $200, with “Game Drive for Xbox” branding all over it, I reasonably expected to be able to install and play Xbox games from it. Nope. After downloading Forza Horizon 4 to the drive, Xbox informed me that the game CANNOT be played from external storage. Series X|S optimized games have to be transferred back to the console’s internal storage or to a separate Xbox Storage Expansion Card before you can play them. To make matters worse, this isn’t even an SSD. It’s a USB mechanical hard drive. It can STORE Series X|S games, but for many modern Xbox games it essentially functions as a $200 parking lot. You have to move the game back and forth whenever you actually want to play it. Yes, the technical limitations are disclosed if you understand exactly what you're looking for. But calling this a “Game Drive for Xbox” and prominently marketing it for Xbox Series X|S makes the distinction incredibly easy for an ordinary buyer to miss. If your goal is simply to archive games rather than redownload them, it works. If your goal is to actually EXPAND the playable storage of an Xbox Series S/X, this is NOT what you want. You need an Xbox Storage Expansion Card. One star because a product called a “Game Drive” should not require this much research to discover that many of your Xbox games can't actually be played from it. ... show more
