I purchased the brushed nickel with gray shades. As others have noted - they were well packed and arrived two days after I placed the order. I assembled each one in about 15 minutes. The finish on the bases was just as advertised, brushed nickel and the gray shades quickly assembled. The base is nicely weighted and lamps are good height for bedside nightstand. 3 dimmable modes are very handy when waking up and heading to bed at night. Overall no complaints. I love these lamps. I was a little worried about the shade due to other reviews but it was actually ingenious how they pack it and how it is attached to the lamp. I would have gave 5 stars but one of the shades were smudged.
