I recently bought this SER5 when it was <$250 after coupons. At that price, this is a very good little mini PC. It is an upgrade from a 3 year old Terryza (no longer offered on Amazon) with a J4125 CPU. That PC worked fine until a few months ago when our internet seemed to slow considerably on only that PC, and not several other PCs in the house. It turns out that was a faulty 5-port unmanaged switch at the PC, but I used the internet issue to justify an upgrade. I paid about $186 for that Terryza in 2020 and about $70 more for this one. The difference is amazing. The Terryza served us well for Office, internet browsing, YouTube streaming, Spotify streaming, etc. We don't play games on any computer, so that was never an issue. This new Beelink is so much faster, it's pretty amazing. I use Novabench to benchmark my PCs, and went from a combine score of ~775 to 1,776. Sure my main photo editing PC hits just over 5,000, but for day-to-day tasks I can't tell the difference. FYI: The Novabench graphics test resulted in 14 FPS on the Beelink vs. 4 FPS on the older Terryza. There is virtually no fan noise at all. I have to put my ear to the PC to hear the fan and cannot hear anything with it mounted behind my monitor. I did have to buy a new monitor (I got the ~$100 Sceptre F24 - very nice) because my old cheap 22" Acer had neither HDMI nor DP and this Beelink does not have VGA. Oh well, the new monitor is also a very nice upgrade in our kitchen over the old Acer. The PC does produce some heat, but not a lot. I did notice that a flashdrive I had to use that had an older Adobe Acrobat Pro that I wanted to re-install from the Terryza got very hot after transferring only 725 MB of install files. That's probably more a problem with the flashdrive than the USB port, but I have yet to investigate. The PC I received had absolutely no bloatware that I could find (searching programs, services, start-up files, uninstall apps, and going through the Program Files and Program Files (x86) folders). If they stuck something in there, I can't find it. Overall, we are very happy with this $250 mini PC. Only time will tell if it will hold up, but for the time being it's quite, small, fast and seems to have a clean OS. "Roadrunner FAST" (beep-beep), nothing bogs it down. Setting it up was a 1-2-3 breeze. The noise level is NONE. I don't hear that it's running until I turn it off and then notice the absence of sound. I can't believe they packed so much computing power into such a small footprint. That small footprint leads to my only "I wish.." complaint. We need MORE ports. Yeah, yeah, I have extensions everywhere but "I wish..." As I am banned from fragging, I can't say how well it does with gaming. My "guess" is that it would do well. My 32-inch HP Monitor renders the graphics extremely well. This computer is fast, it has windows 11 and is worth the money. My wife uses it for a virtual online job this thing connects to it beautifully. It surpassed the requirements that she needed for a desktop computer. the only reason that i didn't give it 5 stars for quality is that the usb ports aren't as tight as i would like but they all work fine. this computer is fast and works great for this intended purpose AMD ryzen 5 series of chips are great and they work with windows 11. it's an upgrade she had windows 10 before and had an intel core i7. never switching back to intel. This little sucker worked right out of the box. A++ as for any questions about gaming, you should get a faster computer, this unit i have is not used for gaming. ... show more

This unit has all the features that anyone would want. Packaging is well done and impressive..took the unit out of the box, made all the connections for keyboard, mouse, HDMI and power source and turn the unit ON. It took over 2-1/2 minutes to boot and it asked to try repairing the boot files…It finally showed Windows and as I started to initialize and answer the choices, at the WiFi password, the screen went black and was unable to boot it regardless of the steps taken. Perhaps, QC must take steps to safeguard the booting process and I gather the QC is not shutting down the unit, and for the booting process to go wrong, they are turning off the unit and not shutting down accordingly ... show more

For the price, this mini PC is pretty solid. It's tiny, silent, fast, boots really quickly, and can handle lightweight games like Stardew Valley with no problems. I haven't tried any heavier games on it yet, as I use it mainly just for streaming. I can stream videos on one monitor and game on another without any problems, which is exactly what I needed it to do. The only problem I've had so far is that it will suddenly crash on occasion. I don't know if that's an issue with the PC or with Windows 11, so I can't officially say the unit itself is at fault yet. Even after crashing, it fires right back up super fast and I'm right back where I was in just a few seconds, so it's just a passing annoyance. With any luck, a windows 11 patch will fix the issue down the road. Would buy again at this price point. ... show more

I bought this for myself to game with, I can play Skyrim on ultra high settings and mods, but I don't do much with the atmospheric mods, mostly with gameplay to make things easier, like lanterns and permanent bound weapons. I also play stardew valley, minecraft, World of warcraft, final fantasy 14 and lots of other games. they are not the most intensive but they still require a decent amount and run well. my only complaint is hard drive space but since i play throught Steam, I can uninstall games to make room for other things and not lose data, so that is not a big deal either. I love that i have the option to mount it to the back of a monitor if I wanted to. I actually bought my daughter one very similar to this for christmas this year and she already loves it. I'm trying to talk my husband into getting one bc the price is so good for what you get. definitely recommend if you are super tight on budget but want a new computer to game with and are a casual gamer. ... show more

I want to like this machine, because the hardware itself is solid. Unfortunately, it shipped with a power adapter that caused constant hard shutdown when the system was idle. This wasn’t a Windows issue, a driver issue, or a heat issue. The PC would run games or video for hours without a problem, but if I walked away and left it alone for 10–20 minutes, it would abruptly shut down with no warning. I went deep on troubleshooting and confirmed all Windows sleep states were disabled on this system. Event logs consistently showed Kernel-Power Event 41 and unexpected shutdowns, with no evidence that Windows was initiating anything. That combination points to power or firmware cutting out underneath the OS, and that’s exactly what it turned out to be. Replacing the included power adapter with 19V 6.32A 5.26A MINI PC AC Adapter that is compatible with the SER5 immediately fixed the problem. The system now idles indefinitely without a single unexpected shutdown. The issue was low-power stability, not load, which is why it was so confusing at first. Under load, voltage stayed stable. At idle, it didn’t. This is frustrating because most users would assume the PC itself is defective or blame Windows 11 and return it. Worse, Beelink has removed public support and driver pages for this model, which makes diagnosing issues like this harder than it should be. The takeaway is simple: the PC itself is fine, but the included power adapter is not reliable. If you buy this, plan on replacing the power brick immediately if you want stability, especially for always-on or server-style use. Beelink really needs to do better here. ... show more
