  • This is a fantastic mini-PC!
I bought this to use as a "drawing and painting" computer to use with a drawing tablet which has its own screen. The drawing tablet's screen is my monitor for this tiny wonder. The included 500GB SSD is more than enough for my drawing software and any pictures I create. Setup was simple -- I plugged it in, attached my monitor and a cabled keyboard and a mouse with a USB dongle and turned the computer on. That was it! I installed a couple of printer drivers, installed the drawing software and I'm off and running! The XP-Pen drawing tablet (it was a separate purchase) I'm using requires an HDMI port, a USB port for data transfer and a USB port which provides enough power to run the tablet's 1920x1080 screen. Initially I used the drawing tablet's own power adapter so that most of the USB ports would remain available for external drives from which I would install software. Once I had the software installed, I hooked up the drawing tablet's power USB cable to one of the Bee-Link's USB3 ports and it provides enough power to drive the tablet's screen! Now for the truly great part -- I have an external battery pack which can output 19v up to 4amps, and I used the correct plug to fit the Bee-Link's power input jack and it works! So the Bee-Link mini-PC and my drawing tablet are truly mobile and independent of AC outlets! The current battery pack I'm using has 30K mAh, which translates to being able to power the Bee-Link setup for about 2.5 hours (which is about the same length of time as I get from my current laptop). I've just ordered a different battery pack with 50K mAh, which should give me just about 3 hours of use. I'll be experimenting over the next few days to see if my estimates of the time are accurate. This Bee-Link will be fine for the majority of computing tasks (e-mail, web-surfing, word-processing, spreadsheet use) and also for drawing/painting apps, and photo editing. I don't do any video editing these days so I can't say how good it would be for that. My guess is that a more powerful computer would be better for that. This has 16GB ram installed, but it can be boosted to 32GB if desired. Storage space inside is 500GB but with external USB SSD devices there is no limit. What is truly shocking to this old duffer is that this fantastic little computer costs about half what my original 32MB hard drive and controller cost, "back in the day." This is a great little device! I can imagine buying a small inexpensive monitor and mounting one of these on the back (it comes with a mounting bracket and the screws for just that purpose!) to have a superb all-in-one computer that takes up hardly any space at all. ... show more

  • Wow! Better than I expected! I am very impressed
Style: R7-5825U 16GB+500GB
This is the first mini–PC I purchased. I was very skeptical about it given its low cost. I have to honestly say that I am impressed. Some of the things I like about it are: *It comes with Windows 11 Pro installed and activated. *It did not include bloatware. In fact, it included only what was necessary, the OS and necessary software. *It has such a small footprint compared to conventional desktop PC's. You can put it on any desk with minimal space used. A bonus if you are a minimalist. *It has a VESA mounting bracket. I believe you can install it to a monitor’s VESA mount. *It runs cool and very quiet! I've yet to hear the fans even when doing CPU intensive tasks. *I have it connected to a power meter. It maxes out at about 40 watts. Most of the time, it runs less than 20 Watts. Compared to my Alienware laptop that uses over 100 watts most of the time. *The Wi-Fi 6 network adapter is super quick. *It includes Wake on Lan that I use a lot! *It is very easy to open it for accessibility to the internals. *The SSD and RAM can be upgraded. It includes one available bay for a 2.5" drive. *It boots up quickly. *I can do all my productivity tasks, and it is plenty quick. *The included 16GB of RAM is sufficient to do most things. *I contacted their support department and received responses every time. Some things I wish it had: *A 2.5Gb Ethernet adapter. *The included power adapter is sufficiently small, but it would be nice if it were integrated into the PC. *If you are a heavy gamer, this is not the PC for you. Although, you *can* do light gaming. For the cost and performance, I would definitely recommend this impressive mini-PC. ... show more

  • almost meet all my expectations
Style: R7-6800U 32GB+500GB
This review is for Beelink mini PC SER5 with AMD Ryzen 5 5600H + 32GB RAM. I used to use the company issued laptop (DELL) for everything since I work from home some times. Over the recent months the company IT has implemented a ton of security measures that render the user experience really bad -- sluggish web browsing, some web sites are blocked for no reason (e.g. ChatGPT), can't install some drivers (audio EQ control) since my local admin privilege is taken away, etc. sick and tired of meddling with the company laptop. I decided to get my own. I don't do gaming or heavy duty video editing or so, fairly light weight user, so I eyed on the new Mac Mini M2 or a mini PC since I always use my laptop as a desktop anyway so no need to get another laptop. I am very familiar with Mac and very impressed by the performance of the new Mini M2. Ultimately what wins me over with the mini PC with Windows is (1) availability of lots more obscure drivers etc (2) similar specs cost about half. After I got this Beelink mini PC, I am totally satisfied: (1) initial set up and configuration is a breezy ! (2) completely quiet operation. can't hear any fan noise at all. But again I don't game so load is not high. (3) performance is great and smooth in every way. (4) it is tiny! takes no space on my desk which is perfect. I only have it for a few weeks so can't say about its long term reliability of course. For the price if I retire it in a couple of years it is still a good deal. So highly recommended. Update on April 27,2023 --------------------------------- Finally got Netflix 4k working after contacting tech support from both AMD and Beelink. Here is my experience: (1) Netflix 4k freeze some times, whereas YouTube 4k always perfect. This is a problem with AMD. (2) AMD support is NOT good at all. You ask A but they answer B, totally frustrating. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER AMD PC again ever!!! (3) Beelink support is GREAT! I got both email reply and phone call (answered immediately). One caveat is that I speak Chinese and I called their Shenzhen HQ, so I am not sure what the experience will be like if you speak English to them. ... show more
