My 19 year old grandson has ADHD, anxiety and sensory issues and difficulty sleeping at night. I was skeptical when he asked for a weighted blanket but he happily reports that it is the best sleep he has had in a long time. Major points are all follows: 1. The weight keeps the blanket from coming off as regular bedding tends to do when he moves in his sleep. 2. The raised dots in the duvet provide a soothing sensory experience he particularly enjoys, and the fabric is soft, not scratchy. 3. Even though his room tends to run warm, he has NOT experienced any problems with overheating as some reviewers have. 4. Contrary to other reviewers' complaints, my husband and grandson had no problem putting the blanket into the duvet. There are no instructions with the packaging but here are their insights: it helps to spread it on a large bed, to use two people, and to tie all six or eight ties in sequence, then zip shut. 5. The blanket arrived well packaged and customer support is polite and responsive. We had one minor issue which they quickly resolved. We purchased the 60x80 "Queen size" navy 18 pound blanket which works well for my 6 foot tall 200 pound grandson who sleeps in a full bed. Do not expect the queen size to drape over the bed as this would create pull and slide off, dragging sheets, etc. with it. Rather, you want it large enough to cover the user but be fully supported by the surface of the bed. We recommend this product without caveat or reservation.

I love this blanket. It’s like sleeping with a constant hug. I sleep so good now! Great blanket for anyone that suffers with anxiety. The cover is soft and beautiful.

I had been wanting a weighted blanket for years (I worked with kids with Autism and this is very popular). I read reviews and looked at how to determine what weight to get. I went with the 20lb and wish I had gone smaller. Love the feel, but since I toss and turn in my sleep in the beginning I strained my back from attempting to tug and pull (my dr laughed at me). I also get hot at night and started to sweat with the blanket. After I took it out of the removable velour cover, it cooled me down and I no longer have that issue. I'm used to the weight now and swear by the blanket, but I would suggest starting lighter to try out.

I rated it a 2-star for comfort, not because it wasn't. It's because I ordered the wrong weight for my body size. I'm 162 lbs. And it's simple too heavy for me. I plan to order the recommended weight this winter.

Overall I love this blanket. My only complaint is one of the selling features for me was the cover. Although he cover is amazingly soft and cozy it doesn't stay in place so the weighted blanket ends up all to one side. There are ties on the inside of the cover to hold it in place, but they do not work very well and several broke. I still love the blanket I just unfortunately have to use without the cover.

Okay so I've always wanted to write a perfectly honest review on the Amazons so here it is. In short you don't even have to open the package to enjoy this product. I was supposed to get this for my bday but as impatient as I am I decided to open it 2 weeks before. My mother however, would not allow that. Instead the only way she would allow me to open it was if I got off my ass and applied to college. In doing so I held the package in my lap unopened as I got on the computer and started applying. As of currently I did apply to college but still haven't opened it. This wieghted sack that is held together in the package by plastic is still in my lap while writing this. It is nice.

The blanket is great, but if you buy this queen size thinking it can be the only blanket for your bed, you will be wrong. It only covers the top of the mattress. I get why it is this way, but perhaps a photo of it on a queen mattress with no overhang would be helpful.

We purchased this blanket for our 80lb dog, for the 4th of July, as she is completely terrified of fireworks, and we’d heard it helps. She’s still scared of them, but the blanket has helped with the shaking and trembling. Just seems to help her feel a bit more calm and secure. I absolutely LOVE that it has a removable cover so I can wash it, especially since it’s for a dog! ALL the other toddler sized blankets I saw on Amazon did not have that. The cover itself is INCREDIBLY soft, VERY high quality material...I was SUPER impressed! I’m still impressed!!! I haven’t washed the cover yet, but I imagine it will only get softer. I HIGHLY recommend this blanket, even if it’s for a dog!!! (Plz be sure to research what weight to get, for your size dog. We got the 7lb. blanket, though I think I maybe I should’ve got 10lb.)
