The listing is misleading. This thing is NOT stain proof. But that being said, it's a pretty nifty bed. Assembly is straight forward. It is a bit time consuming because it's tedious. But it's not difficult by any means. If you're one person, it would probably take about 40 mins up to an hour to assemble. Once it's assembled it can be a bit difficult to move, so it's got some weight to it. It's pretty sturdy. Mattress fits well and it doesn't sag through the slats.

This is a great affordable bed! It is a bed frame with a headboard and footboard. It is black metal and wood or wood look accents that make it look a less industrial, it would still look good in an industrial styled room. This bed is easy to put together. I didn't have any issues with assembly at all. The listing says it will hold up to 1,000lbs. I love that it is tall enough for my robot vacuum to clean under, and there's plenty of room to store things under there. I have a dog bed under there as that is where my senior dachshund hides when she's had enough. You will not need a box spring under your mattress. If you want an affordable bed, this one is great!

This is a basic, no bells & whistles bed frame. It's mostly metal, but the headboard & footboard are either a wood or compressed cardboard painted black. I had my teens (19 & 14, girl and boy) assemble this entirely on their own, and they did. I didn't even read the instruction manual. It took them 1-2 hours, but arguing may have played a role in that length of time lol. They didn't need to come to me for guidance at any point and they didn't have issues with missing or damaged parts. They completed it no muss no fuss with all limbs in tact and no attitude, so that tells me the assembly was straightforward and easily understood by kids who don't usually assemble things. All assembled it is sturdy and doesn't creak or squeak. It looks nice. It's great not having to use a box spring. I don't know if I would call it a "platform" bed though, it didn't seem especially high. It certainly has storage space underneath like any bed, but I don't think there's a whole lost more space.

I think this is a really great deal on a nice metal bed with a great classic headboard. Right now it’s priced under $140 – and for comparison, I see plenty of metal bed frames without a stylish headboard going for $100 or more. The addition of the headboard (especially with this stylish design) adds a lot of value and really completes the look. It makes the bed feel more solid and “grown up” – not like the basic dorm-style frames I’ve had before. At the same time, it still keeps the clean, minimal look. This one will match anything and look great in any room, unlike upholstered headboards that can limit your decor options. Once it’s all put together, it has an awesome simple, classic mid-century modern feel. That said, it’s versatile – the simple, sleek lines would also look great in a more traditional space as well. I really can't think of too many rooms this bed wouldn't look nice in. The bed feels sturdy and stable thanks to the support beams. I also like the small bar at the end of the bed – you don’t really notice it once your mattress and bedding are on, but it serves the purpose of keeping the mattress from sliding around, which has been an issue with other basic metal frames I’ve owned in the past. All in all, this is a great bed that is sturdy. It took me less than an hour to put together. I think it would work well for kids on up to adults of any age. This is a great option for a bed that should last a long time and really won't go out of style. 5 stars!
