They are smaller/shorter than a typical side table, but they work well with our bed and mattress set up. They’re definitely very sturdy and the wood actually feels pretty nice. It’s a very pretty nightstand. Well made and easy to assemble. All the parts were included. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. The mistake I made was not paying attention to the size of these tables. Next to my bed they look extremely tiny. When I placed them next to my bed I couldn’t help busting out laughing. These night stands are a bit on the small side but do work. They would probably make a better end table for a living room furniture set, but are perfect for smaller bedrooms.
