I'm extremely picky about my mattresses, sanitation, allergies, asthma etc etc I don't buy cheap mattresses because sleep is the single most important factor in anyone's life. So airflow, breathability, temperature control etc are extremely important to me. I don't mess around with mattress pads or pillow pads. I've tried so many and hated them all. This is the only one I will purchase & it's been a good 8ish years now I'm guessing... I've used this for several mattresses, including one for 5k. I spilled wine one night and it was super dark and I knew it had to go through to the mattress, because I didn't even realize it spilled... Fast forward weeks later and I was just washing all of the sheet sets...I saw the stain and it had dried. The wine didn't touch the mattress at all. No stain. I'm shocked. Years ago I had someone pee in a mattress and basically sleep in it (fml) and even then the mattress wasn't touched. Please judge my friends (lol) as that one was a grown man and he was completely healthy and sober. I'm here because I was washing sheets just now and realized another spill didn't touch the mattress and I want backups. I won't be buying it on Amazon bc it's too expensive but they have other retailers that sell them for less ahem RTG. I wash them in the delicate cycle cold wash and I like to medium dry them (not high heat like apparently some people). It's drytech that's why it doesn't mess with the temperature control properties inside mattresses or make me hott etc and it doesn't move. It also fits one of my thicker 16.5 inch mattress just fine... Off to RTG I go...

Since I just put it on my bed to replace the one I had for many years, I cannot vouch for water resistance and care. However it looks and feels just like the one I replaced. The reason I replaced it is because after years of washing it, the water resistant backing was falling off. It’s pricey but if you if you care for it properly, it will last you years.

Excellent mattress protector. No noise and no plastic feel. I spilled tea on my bed yesterday- mattress stayed dry. The mattress cover did well in the wash and the tea washed right out. Protector is well made and worth the price.

I tested this with water before putting on bed. I thought it worked, and that maybe other reviewers were exaggerating or had a defective one out of many. I washed it once and had been using it for less than a month. Well, my toddler had an accident and it went through to the mattress. I cannot see damage to the lining or anything. I contacted the company for a refund, and they referred me to their warranty company, which told me that they do not refund opened products, they only offer replacement when you make a claim with them and they offer a mattress cleaning. How about don’t make so many defective products bought to protect expensive mattresses? I have another one of these on my own bed and now have to buy 2 new ones. Why would I trust a replacement? Going with Coop as I have trusted them with my pillow protectors. They don’t offer refunds because they know these things are going to fail a lot, and people dont like signing up for a “claim” over an item at this price. What a crappy product and scammy company. Should have known better about an overpriced product sold by Rooms to Go. Scammers hand in hand. Please let me know if my review helped you.
