This is my 4th one in 6 years. Compared to other brands I've had this one feels cheaply made. The plastic is thin and brittle. The ice basket isn't as deep and ice melts real fast. It also doesn't hold as much water as the others I've had. Get the extended warranty!!

Worked making ice well for about 6 months, then it stopped making ice, not the usual light indicating it was full, but it constantly stopped making ice and if there was any in it, it would melt. Now, it is making ice sporadically. I cannot recommend this item. I should have been warned off by a 30 day warranty but the reviews seemed good and I took a chance. Now I wish I hadn't.
