They were light to medium weight and the color being white, it allowed light to come through and keep things bright inside. We only used them on this rainy, windy day at the park and used bungee cords to tie them to the posts of the pavilion so we were protected from the weather, they worked out perfectly, keeping out the rain and withstood wind some strong wind gusts of up to at least 25 mph. The metal grommets held up and did not rip out of the plastic tarp. Though it was terrible weather for an outdoor event, were still able to enjoy my Mom's 90th birthday party, the tarps saved the day! Afterwards we took them down and let them dry out for a couple of days then folded them up for storage, easy!

It seems thinner to me than it says it is but only time will tell. I'm just using it for times when I need to cover something like firewood or my ladder temporarily. It doesn't seem heavy duty enough for long term or heavy duty use.

I bought this tarp for camping. I put it down on the ground and put my tent up over it. It help to keep my tent floor clean and protect the floor from being punctured or torn by things on the ground. It served it's purpose very well.

Tore in the first week of use. *sigh* 3. Grommets are weak, like any cheap tarp. OTHER: 1. Recomend getting the Mytee Products 20' x 30' Green Canvas Tarp 12oz Heavy Duty Water Resistant Green Canvas Tarp. Yes, expensive, but worth it and lasts for years. 2. DON'T BUY this if you are looking for a REAL tarp. 3. Buy this if you need a short term fix.
