I bought this used in "acceptable" condition, with no description as to actual condition. The previous two "acceptable" ones came with somewhat minor dents, but no original packaging, charge cord, or instructions. One of them smelled like something like Febreeze had been sprayed or rubbed on it. This one, the cheapest I have seen in this color, has no discernible scratches or dents and looks new, , arrived in the original, but extremely taped box, and had cord, instructions, and stickers. Jackpot! It should have been classified as "very good" or even, "like new." It sounds great, with movie theater very present bass sound. A little weak in the midrange when quiet or loud, but may be fixable in firmware, as may connectivity issues. As has been noted in other user reviews, it gets disconnected rather frequently for no discernible reason, is hard to maintain in paired modes for this reason, and makes a rather loud noise when turning on and off. One reviewing site reviewer downgraded it for having to hold the on /off button too long to turn it on and off. 2 or 3 seconds is too long? This is actually a great design feature that keeps it from accidentally turning off or on while in a bag or backpack while taking camping or to the beach. To prevent dents in transit I suggest keeping the well-designed protective box. Though I suspect the dented speakers were dropped. None of the carrying cases designed for this version of the Beats Pill, that I have ordered, had any real padding. If the case is hard enough this may not matter, but one was easily mushable. I'm thinking of just using the box. The only case I've found with real padding, and a nicely hard shell, is the co2CREA Hard Travel Case Replacement for JBL Flip 6 FLIP 5 Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker Case. (This can be found cheaply in Amazon Resale in like -new condition.). The Pill fits snugly in this, though it mushes down the divider, but still leaves room for the charging cable and a plug in charger. The original Pill colors: red, gold, and black, come with a black plastic charging cord. The Kim Kardashian Pills come with cords that match the Pill color, and cross-hatched fiber covering, which may be better quality than the black cords? They are stiffer! The main feature that I went with the Pill for is the "Lossless listening." The ability to plug in the Pill directly to your device without having to use bluetooth. We have so much radiation already with wi-fi, phone, radio, and tv signals broadcasted all around us, I prefer not to have to add bluetooth to the mix. Plus the sound quality is better. Speakers that can use wi-fi also get better sound quality than bluetooth because of better bandwith. Though the Pill as yet has no online equalizer as other better quality speakers do, I find it does a great job adjusting to different kinds of audio, unlike say, an Echo Show 8, which has glorious stereo spatial audio sound, but has a hard time playing simple podcast and news talking voices understandably because of too heavy bass. But this can be adjusted with its online on speaker equalizer, lowering the bass to zero. The Pill automatically adjusts.

First off, I’m a truck driver (Freightliner). The stereos in my truck is garbage, so I wanted to get a better speaker. I was naturally drawn to the Beats Pill due to how easily it pairs with iPhone. I’ve got to say, I’m blown away by the sound quality. This thing is LOUD. Truck cabs get super loud on the highway, this just about drowns it out. Not only is it loud, it sounds fantastic. You hear all the highs and lows, even in a loud truck cabin. The battery lasts a couple days, even when blasting it for 9 hours a day, and it takes no time at all for it to charge. Better yet, you can still use it while charging. Another thing that drew me to this particular speaker is that you can connect it to another Beats Pill for a stereo sound. I don’t think that’s necessary, but honestly, given how good the quality is, I’m definitely considering it. I got this on sale for $100, and the value and performance are incredible. Even at $150, I’d highly recommend this speaker, especially for truck drivers.

My old original Beats Pill died and I found this. It's much bigger which surprised me. I want exciting it to be texts as big as the original. I could have sworn my old original one that I could turn up the volume as loud as I want whereas this one only goes as loud as the volume on my smartphone. That's that only set back but I'm still going to give it 5 stars

I’ve always had JBL and loved them but recently bought Beats speaker. Decided to try something different. I am extremely pleased. It puts out great sound and I would say is very comparable to the JBL charge. A few differences I noticed right away is that the Beats speaker is a bit smaller and sleeker. The Beats also is has way better sound for the bass. It was a great choice.

Very pleased with this speaker. I have had a few JBL's and latest tried the Flip 6. They are both great speakers, but seem to like the sound of the Pill bit better and the longer battery life helps. Has room filling sound. The base is good as well.

The beats pill champagne gold sounds good. The sound is loud, clear, and smooth. However, I feel like they need to update the actual play time of these beats pill. So far mine has been playing continuously for 9 hours now and are still playing. It’s the volume though that they have to play on in order for them to achieve up to the 24 hours playtime. I feel that’s misleading people and should be clearly stated that the volume has to be low in order for them to play up to 24 hrs. I like listening to my music fairly loud and when listening to them loudly they do not last long. You may get 2 hours of playtime when listening to music loudly on the beats pill. They do meet the functionality and plays while charging so that’s what helped me give them four stars. I also would have liked to have a champagne gold usb c charging cord to come with this instead of a black usb c cord. I am still satisfied with my purchase though since they were on sale for $99. I feel that’s a good value for the money but I definitely would not pay $149 for one. Since you can connect 2 beats pills together I did order the dark gray one to have that stereo surround sound. ****UPDATE ON 5/29/25**** •So my beats pills did achieve 24 hrs of playtime on a single charge but on a low volume as stated above. •To turn off the beats pill you have to press down and hold the power button 1 to 2 seconds and then release. They will not turn off if you hold down for 3 or more seconds. • I did adjust my equalizer setting on my iPhone so now I get about 4 hours of playtime listening to the music loudly to my preference.

Great product. Syncs easily. Color is fun. Sound it great. I use it all the time. I’ve had other ones and there was always something to be disappointed with whether it was the sound quality or the Bluetooth quality and so on. This speaker does not disappoint.
