These lights are perfect for a small set up. I haven't noticed the same amount of new growth as my LED spot light but I do love the wide, even amount of light distribution over the whole area. I have a cactus that has been getting some nice color since I started using them. I think you get what you pay for when it comes to indoor grow lights. These are your best option if you are just getting into indoor gardening or only have a couple of plants that can't stay out during the winter. I'll be starting some lettuce and herbs soon and I'll post an update review after seeing how they do under the lights. So far so good though. These lights are great though very compact and I think my plants enjoy having them.

Purchased a set of two to be used in an enclosure for a bearded dragon (anyone else thinking of doing the same PLEASE exchange the bulbs that come with this fixture for an actual reptile UV type, as the included bulbs do not give off the UV reptiles need). Both lights had a slight buzzing sound when turned on, both with the included bulbs and with my replacement reptile bulbs, which according to comments found here at Amazon is not the norm, they should be completely silent. So I ordered another set to exchange the ones I have, and both of those also buzzed. I’m keeping the quietest of the four but will unfortunately have to replace them if my pet seems bothered by the sound. Except for the buzz I REALLY liked these fixtures. All four worked. The bulbs are very easy to exchange. They are very streamlined with a short height, so I can’t even see them in the enclosure unless I get down low and look up. Mine all came with the reflector shielding (some people mentioned their’s had not). They come with three different mounting options. All are good and one was perfect for my application. The electrical plugs are not loose on mine as some people experienced. I did have an issue because the cord that connects the two (or more) fixtures together was too short for my needs and a longer option does not appear to be available. But, they supplied two power cords and two connector cords,... I am mechanically inclined, so I cut and spliced the extra cords to make a connecting cord the perfect length for my needs. Please don’t do this unless you have the proper tools and knowledge! One star was dropped for the sound. Otherwise these fixtures are perfect. Update: it’s about 6 months later. I’ve been using only one of the two lamps I have installed in my dragons enclosure because it’s just too loud with both on. So even though the price has gone up since last time, I took a chance and ordered another set so that I can have the two he needs. Both are completely quiet (yay!) and I prefer the reflector they now have over what the older ones came with - the new have a mirror finish vs. the old have a large stipple. I’m not going to up my review to 5 stars only because I’ve had to spend over $100. to get two quiet fixtures, but I stand behind the positive things I said previously. I do really like this product!

One T5 came in broke. That stuff happens. I didn’t cry too much because the other unit works great. Doesn’t mean they deserve a one star review like some crying little bi@#$s on here. It was packaged good, just stuff happens. The other T5 fixture works great! Good construction, GREAT reflectors, and the plug stays in just fine. Found 4 T5’s for $20 bucks on here, problem solved. Fast delivery, great product, and incredible reflector! Don’t take stuff so seriously. Life happens, bulbs break, and babies still get born. Get over yourselves and fix your own damn problems.

So far so good.. . I bought this light fixture to use in my beardies cage, of course I had to go and buy new bulbs because my beardy needs UV A and UVB and unfortunately the bulbs that came with it don't provide that.. but for 35-40 bucks you get 2 light fixtures and two bulbs but the bulbs still need to be replaced with the reptisun 10.0 T5HO bulb or u can get an arcadia bulb( they unfortunately we're all sold out when I was purchasing my light bulb... But anyway I just got it put together and hung up in my enclosure last night... I will wait a few weeks and then come back and update my review as needed... If there's no issues I will finally update it by saying I still have not had any issues, if something breaks or something no longer works I will def update it and let you guys know .... But yeah so far so good, I'm glad I went with this option because I was about to spend over $80 on a Carolina customs light fixture, and I would still have to go and purchase a bulb for that as well.. so this was a cheaper but workable option!!

After doing a ton of research on grow lights for succulents, I decided to try these out. I have those red and blue LED grow lights, but I had to buy two sets of those lights to keep my plants happy; I also paid the same amount for ONE SET those lights as these ones. These lights, however, work without breaking the bank. After a week under these lights, my succulents are getting their colors back and some of them are growing like crazy. Setup was really easy because I just put on some 3M strips and stuck them on the underside of one of the shelves. Overall, I am very pleased with these lights. I am considering replacing my LED ones with the 4' version of these because they work so well.

Absolutely loved this deal, and the lights and fixtures were perfect for my reptile tank! Unfortunately one started to flicker out in November, and I thought it was just the lightbulb, so I bought a new lightbulb and changed it out, but the flickering continued until it just completely went out and the fixture would not work anymore. The second one started to flicker a couple weeks after that, and went out early January. 2 fixtures going out in less than a year? Not worth the deal!
