Finally a sun shade that does NOT blow over or break in the wind! The beaches and river sides on California are always windy in the afternoons and we have had three shade structures break in the wind last year, one even dangerously sailing up and landing where it could have injured someone. Great tent, I used it today under a 100ºF. Very easy to set up. The only thing is that the bag is too small to pack it all quickly before you melt. You need to fold it nicely and tidy to be able to close it

Very easy to set up in minutes. One of the stabilizing cords broke at the hook, but they don't really add much on a beach set up. Will contact the company about getting it replaced. Wish it were lighter than 10 pounds, but we put it in the beach cart so don't have to carry it.

Do not buy this tent if you plan to use it on a beach with any wind. We used this three times while on vacation in Hilton Head, SC and on the third day the wind was whipping the canopy and actually pulled out the stakes and slingshotted the stakes and bungee cords about 60 feet away on the beach. We are lucky that someone wasn’t hit by a flying stake because the beach was very crowded! I feel like the design is not sturdy in wind and the fabric stretched out after only two uses. We have a Cool Cabana beach tent that has a much better design and never moved during the same wind that nearly destroyed this one. Unfortunately the return window closed 4 days ago or I would definitely be returning. Instead I get to throw it away and eat the cost. ... show more

I was skeptical about this when my wife bought it, but after using it for a week at the beach I will admit that I was wrong ( don’t tell her). This thing is great. We had 15-20 mph winds that were blowing over regular beach umbrellas but this thing held fast and did not budge. You do not have to bury the poles in sand either. With 2-3 people it’s easy to set up, definitely not a 1 person setup though. Make certain to stretch the sand pouches out taunt and it will be fine. 6 people fit under it comfortably, 8 people is tight. Very minor suggestion for improvement, if mfg reads this, is to supply cinch pouches for the bungie cords and stakes. Good product. ... show more
