I returned my first one because of a crack in the baffle between the inner sub and the notch for the seat bracket right next to it. The second one has a crack in the same spot but it wasn't nearly as bad. I reinforced it with some wood glue and called it a day. Initial testing it sounds fine but I won't be installing it until the weekend. I felt like the kicker CompR's are the best option that'd fit for the CXA800.1 amp I'm planning to use. The CompR's sealed specs call for .8-1.25 cu ft per driver which the enclosure falls comfortably in the middle of. You'll need a decent amp to power them but I'd rather run CompR's over a shallow sub like the description makes it sound like you need. There's a lot of non shallow subs that'll fit in this enclosure, don't limit yourself thinking you can't fit a lot of real divers. The birth sheet for my CXA800 tested at 917w so it'll comfortably push the CompR's which are rated at 400w/ea. I'll be putting it to the test so I'll be sure to update this review if my crack repair fails. It's a weak spot on the box, I think better packaging to prevent it from happening during shipping would be nice but we don't have many options for the older SuperCrew's. They maximize the available space and include the seat risers, I usually build my own enclosures but with all the brackets on our seats it'd be more work than it's worth. ... show more

    • Big headache to install and get to speaker jacks
Good made box and subs fit good. Box came with no spacers or instructions. Almost impossible to get box to fit and no room to get all the bolts back into the holes. Once the box is in place you can't see or get to the speaker jacks. No way I would suggest this box to anyone.

this box sounds pretty decent in my truck which is about the only pro to this box, it is well built for the most part so i'll give them that as well. For con's, there are a few. they only leave a LITTLE room towards the back of the box (subwoofer side towards the rear of the truck) for subwoofer clearance, as you can see in the pics there is a stepped ledge there to keep the woofers off of the floor this should have been higher, even with shallow mount subs there is very little clearance there. Next is the fact that you have to use a riser kit to make the box fit under the seats, it works ok but it angles the seats up a bit more than i'd like to have them, and makes the movement of the seats minimal. This box could have been designed that much shorter (and then some) to allow more room and not need the risers. I understand the need for more airspace in this box being a dual sub system and sealed, but making the box a bit smaller and packing the closed end with poly-fill would have had the same effect as this bigger box does. On a more technical note the speaker terminal blocks that are built into this thing are GARBAGE. I had to stuff the speaker wire up in there to get any connection where it should be a simple clamp in job. I wish i would have known this I would have replaced them prior to installation but I couldn't wait at the time so i will have to replace them a bit later. ... show more

This is a great product enough room to mount an amp to the box to keep wiring down to a minimum, and was packaged and handled very well. Important Note: People, ya gotta know what ya have and what the differences are. This is for a SUPERCREW if you have any other model it wont fit.

    • Inspect Carefully
This item arrived in its factory packaging. There is no protective foam or any other protection for the speaker box. Due to the poor conditon of the cardboard box I carefully inspected the speaker box for any damage. I discovered the mdf was cracked from the edge of one of the speaker mounting holes toward the inside of the box. I created an exchange with Amazon and they immediately sent out a new one. The new speaker box arrived and I inspected it for any damage. I discovered the factory routed out too much material for the speaker magnet and it created a weak spot under the speaker. I also found the box was cracked at one of the speaker mounting terminal. After the second box came in damaged I requested a refund.
