Features

  • 3R PUROGENE is a 2% solution of chlorine dioxide, ClO2 (contains no free chlorine). Chlorine dioxide is recognized safe for drinking water treatment for more than 50 years. It is EPA registered for use in drinking water.
  • Unlike some water Preservers that take hours to work and leave a bad after-taste, 3R PUROGENE makes water fresh the moment it enters the container, from a drinking glass to a plastic, metal, or fiberglass storage tank. 3R PUROGENE is non-toxic and biodegradable, presenting no harm to the environment or the user.
  • Use Purogene to control build-up of slime and odor-causing elements and enhance the taste of stored drinking water. Drinking water should be treated at a rate of 1 fl oz (2 tablespoons) of 3R PUROGENE per 30 gallons of water (5 ppm ClO2 concentration)
  • 32 oz. Bottle of Purogene will treat 960 gallons and makes the water safe to drink for an extended period of time.
  • Use Purogene for good and natural taste in drinking water as well as good taste in prepared drinks, non-toxic and biodegradable, presenting no harm to the environment or the user NOTICE: This Consumable Product is Non-Returnable.

Description

Purogene is used to control harmful elements in drinking water systems. Using the oxidizing power of chlorine dioxide (ClO2), Purogene removes odors without coloring the taste of the water like other products such as chlorine. NOTICE: This is a Consumable Product and Non-Returnable.

  • works fine
works fine for over a year

  • Have been using it in the RV for over a year now
Have been using it in the motorhome for over a year now and have not had to do a tank / system sanitation when before, I normally would have had to do it at least once. Any water that I put into the tank gets treated and it used between campgrounds.

  • Awesome product
Vastly superior to using chlorine bleach for RV water system sanitization.

  • Non-Smell
We used up the previous container and got more because it works so well and essentially no chlorine smell. We just added it to our whole unit filter, added fresh water and let it sit in the tank for a few hours. Drained and refilled without having to drain/fill a couple of times to get rid of the smell with old process. ... show more

  • A good way to sanitize and maintain RV fresh water tanks
This is so much more pleasant than the bleach method to sanitize RV freshwater tanks and system. No bleachy smell or taste. A bit on the expensive side, but we feel more confident about using Purogene in areas with questionable water fills and when the weather is really hot.

  • This disinfects water, no doubt.
I use this for disinfecting my bird baths, so that the birds that use them do not get diseases like pink-eye. This is a true disinfecting product, and if it does not work, then you messed up -- the problem is with you, not with ClO2.

  • Takes care of Algea
We were having problems with our water, which is sourced from a lake and then run by a UV light. Something is not working as algea was building up in our stored water. I also put a little in one of the Berkey water filters that some globs of algea came out of to kill that off. This takes care of the algea. Happy, happy. ... show more
