These lights are very versatile and I have two of them. The first one I have mounted outside over my front door and the other one is inside my master bedroom closet, which allows me to utilize the closet without turning on the main light. The lights are easy to install, and the only issue that I had was the screws to the battery compartment are somewhat sensitive because you have to be careful when removing them because you could strip the screws. I contacted the company about replacement screws and never heard back. The light runs on 3-D cell batteries and they last a long time depending on usage. This is an UPDATE to my previous review. I commend the customer service provided by the vendor from whom I received almost immediate, excellent attention and follow-up. It was during the back and forth with them that I realized it was too much of a coincidence that both of the lights I purchased had gone out at the same time. I removed the lights from where they were installed and it turns out that 'someone' (who shall remain nameless) had accidentally pushed the ON-OFF button on the back of the case. I just finished testing the lights and they're both operating normally, as described. My apologies to the vendor and manufacturer. I really like this so far. I got this 2 weeks ago and love it work with 2 D cell batteries. Works even when the sun doesn’t. The lights are bright and cover a good size area. It was easy to mount and sensitive enough to turn on even by my little dog. It stopped the deer from eating the flowers in my garden, which is why I got it. It only stays lit for 10 seconds and I wish it was more like 20 and that is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. It looks great and works well. I plan to get another one soon. ... show more

This works great. I have a black dog and when I turn her out at night in her dog pen, I can see her. Since I have a motion sensor on it, I don't have a light constantly shining that I probably would forget to turn off half the time. It was easy to install and has an adequate range of light. I purchased three of these since June 2025 to illuminate my backyard when my dog goes out in the dark. I want to make sure I can see any critters like skunks, raccoons, or cats when he goes out. I figure if one of these motion-activated lights is on before he goes out, something is out there. The motion detecting sensitivity and brightness of these lights is absolutely excellent and exactly what I wanted. 5 stars out of 5 on that. The very big problem is battery access. Six (6) tiny screws have to be removed to access the battery compartment. A small screwdriver comes with the light and both the screwdriver and the screw heads strip VERY easily. Consequently it becomes very hard to change the batteries, whether you use the screwdriver that comes with it or your own, and you will likely have to find better replacement screws. The battery compartment cover is very difficult to tighten so it is flush with the light base. 1 star out of 5 for the battery access design. JANUARY 2026 UPDATE: It’s in the single digits temperature-wise where I live and 2 of the 3 of these lights I bought over the past 8 months started blinking all night long last night. I went out this morning and took those two down to bring them inside test the batteries. The batteries still had ample life left according to my battery tester. But I discovered multiple cracks in the plastic of one of the lights and the bracket broke off the back of the other. I have not even had these a year yet but apparently they are not made for cold weather. Between how hard it is to change the batteries without the screws stripping and now two of the lights breaking, I will not be buying this brand/model again. ... show more

This is my second one I purchased. Easy to install and a great light. I put it up inside my wood shed because when I would go out to get wood it is sometimes dark. You never know what is lurking around the corner. I would recommend for price and ease of use.
