Sony A6400
This fits the Sony A6400, but when closing the door, it feels forced to close. It works with my power bank and USB-C multi-plug. I haven’t tried long video recording for over heating yet , but I’ll update this post if I do.

Do not buy
Purchased for a Sony A6500 because the listing states it is compatible. However, the camera displays “Incompatible battery. Use correct model.” and shuts down immediately. Tested with a genuine Samsung 45W USB-PD charger and latest A6500 firmware (v1.06). Camera works normally with genuine NP-FW50 batteries. Product appears incompatible with the A6500.

Must have for any NP-FW50 cameras.
The FW50 batteries have always been extremely awful for video. So this USB C dummy battery is a must have for building out a rig with older cameras. This worked great in my A7S camera rig. No error messages or compatibility issues.

Requires 9/12 volt USB-C PD source, slightly tight in my A6300
This battery eliminator has a 3' cable (that can expand to 5-6' when the center coil is extended) that plugs into a USB-C port. It requires a power delivery device that can provide 9 or 12 volts DC. It will then provide a regulated 8 volts to your camera, allowing you to run it off of a USB-C PD port indefinitely, eliminating the need to change batteries. You can use it with a plug in wall adpater indoors, or with a large USB-C PD powerbank for mobile use. The battery eliminator fit my A6300 camera well. The only thing I noticed about it was that it was just tight enough that the spring in my camera wouldn't automatically "eject" it when I pushed the battery release catch, and instead I had to hold the cache open and pull gently on the wire to pull it out of the camera. It didn't get suck, and really wasn't very tight at all, just a little more than my regular NP-FW50 batteries. There is a cord slot built into the battery blank so the cable can go to a front or rear cable port on your camera's battery door. I was happy with this product and plan to keep it with my camera so I can wire it into the power system of my telescope and not have to change batteries while doing astrophotography.

Reliable
Bought this for my brother, he uses it to stream for a couple hours everyday. AFAIK, never had the camera die on him during streaming/recording, works perfectly.

Poor design. But powers the camera.
Very little selection on Amazon for this dummy battery and everyone of them sucks. This product provides 100% power to an older Sony A6300 which is good. But, the cord is pretty bad/cheap. Should be shorter. Designed way too long for a "short" cord and includes a long section, a cheap coil, and then long again. By itself, it can't reach a power outlet and would obviously need an "extension cable" to your outlet. So hangs stupid and unruly off the camera. Also, it won't hold elasticity and feels like it will "weep" and get sticky over time (and relatively quickly.) Common in cheap, shiny pliable plastics.
