I only use sony ohm batteries. no point in taking a chance on 3rd party batteries is such expensive equipment. just spend the extra and protect the investment you made in that nice camera.

The battery is great as it lasts basically all day shooting stills and video on my a7riii. I bought this battery as an extra just in case I forget to charge my battery or if the day provides that many photo opportunities that I can’t pass up. The price is fairly steep but as they say by once cry once. I feel better knowing that I will only really need 2 of these batteries b/c of their lifespan and ability to hold a charge over a few days of inactivity. These are good batteries but pricey. There are cheaper ones out there that are just as good. But you roll the dice with those. The peace of mind using these was worth the extra price in my opinion.

    • Word to the wise.
In colder climates these batteries are shipped from and stored in cold warehouses. This causes the battery to semi-freeze and appear to be faulty when you receive them. It takes hours to finally thaw and begin to charge, so be patient, they're perfectly fine.
